I’m still getting the beat down from my allergies. So last night I finally decided to give in and do the Jala Neti thing. My boss had said that he did it and it worked, plus Oprah had it on her show, so why not? I talked to Gina and she said that her and her seven year old daughter were doing it and it was working great.
So ok, if a seven year old can do it, then I can do.
I bought the stuff last night and I did it first thing this morning. I did not enjoy it. It felt like I was drowning. It helped a little. I think if I do it twice a day, it will make a big difference.
Last night Paco and I watched the new version of Charlotte’s Web. It was odd. There were some pretty gross parts too. I don’t know if I would really consider it to be a movie suitable for children.
Paco thought it was funny that Wilbur was called “Little Pig” so much in the movie, actually it was subtitled as “Cerdito,” which is the same thing. So now he’s been calling me “Cerdito.” I went from being “Mi Pelon” (pelon = bald) to “Mi Ososito” (little bear), to “Mi Cerdito.” He’s cruisin’ for a bruisin’!
I think it’s funny that when watching English movies with Spanish subtitles, they even change the names to Spanish names. Wilbur became Wilfrido, and the Templeton became Emilio. Whenever Prince Charles is mentioned on Univision, they call him Prince Carlos.
We don’t do that when we subtitle Spanish movies, or when we talk about Spanish people on the news. Brown people are weird.
