Last night I went home after work and tried to check my email but couldn’t. I kept rebooting my computer and resetting my router and I couldn’t get anything to work. I was becoming increasingly frustrated.
Then I checked my modem and found that it was dead. It is dead. GONE.
What to do? So I decided to get on-line and find some local access numbers to use my dial up account. Wait. I can’t get on-line!
A little while later I decided to go on-line and shop for a new modem. Damn. Can’t get on-line.
All night I kept wanting to go on-line and forgot that I had no connection. I even tried connecting to one of my neighbors connections, but it wasn’t strong enough.
I am helpless and lost without my internet.
Today I called ATT and they are shipping me a new modem for free because I’ve had the same one for 7 years and I’ve been with them the entire time. YEAH! I have to pay for shipping and handling though, and that is $12. I have to say though, $12 is a lot cheaper than what a new modem would cost.
I also got some dial-up numbers so I won’t be stranded until the modem arrives on Thursday. Crap. I hope they don’t send it FedEx or I will have to go pick it up at the FedEx distribution center, WAY up north. My apartment complex won’t sign for any FedEx packages… JERKS.
Tonight is game night. I have no idea what we are doing yet. Nobody has claimed it.
