This Monday I start working at Target. I had my orientation Friday night and it was BORING. They made us watch a bunch of training videos and fill out a ton of paperwork. Then she gave us our schedules for the next two weeks. I nearly fell out of my chair.
I had put on my application that I only wanted to work a maximum of 20 hours each week… yet my schedule was showing that I would be working 27 hours the first week and 31 the second. WHAT? I asked why I was being scheduled so much and she seemed oblivious that I only wanted to work 20 hours a week. I decided to let it go so that I could get my training over with. I can do this for two weeks… hopefully.
Saturday morning started off bad. I woke up at 5am because I had a bad dream that I had forgot to pick up my sister’s dog from boarding. When I woke up I realized I actually had forgot to pick up the dog and nearly had a panic attack. Then I started doubting myself. Did I forget? When was I supposed to pick her up? I had to convince myself that there was nothing I could do and that I needed to go back to sleep.
Then I woke up again at 6:15 and had trouble going back to sleep. Then woke up again when Paco got ready for work at 7ish. I finally gave up on sleeping at 8 and just started getting dressed and all that. I got ready and headed down to spend the day at my parent’s house. I hadn’t been down there in forever. I got a bunch of cactus for Paco’s mom while I was down there and a bunch of freshly picked peaches from my parent’s peach tree. I might make peach margaritas tonight.
Saturday night I went out to Rainbow by myself and had a good time. I wore my newer boots because I had worn out my old ones. I don’t like wearing my new boots because they tear up my feet. So I got smart and duct taped up my heels before I put them on… and it WORKED! Yeahs for me!
Only a few of my favorite dance partners were out, so I didn’t have as much fun as I normally would, but it was still a great time. I have a new great dance partner now, Robert. He rocks!
Today I haven’t done much. I got up late, started laundry, and then went to Target to buy some red shirts since I will be working almost every day this week. I won’t have time to wash the ones I have, so I’m going to need enough for the week. Laundry has taken almost all day. I truly hate doing laundry. One day when I make enough money I would love to hire someone just to do my laundry.
I’m super excited about the season finale of Desperate Housewives tonight, and I’m glad that all the shows will be in reruns while I’m working at Target.
