I finished week 1 of my new job. It was fun and so much more relaxing and easier than the last job. I could definitely get used to this! It’s also a lot of fun.
This weekend I didn’t do much. I wanted to go out Saturday night, but Paco wasn’t feeling well, so I stayed in with him. We watched movies this weekend, The Queen and The Pursuit of Happyness.
The Queen was really good and pretty interesting. It was kind of odd to see the Queen sleeping and in her robe and such. Like you know, she’s not really human and is just always sitting on the throne or something. I don’t know what I really expected that the Queen did ever day.
I really didn’t want to watch The Pursuit of Happyness because I can’t stand Will Smith, but it actually wasn’t so bad. It was a little boring though.
Sunday I spent the day cleaning the apartment, doing laundry, and boring stuff like that. Paco worked most of the weekend, so I was alone.
Oh, I also went and applied for a part-time job at Target. I really want to pay off some bills and I have lots of free time. I expected that I would just fill out the application there in the store at those little booths, then go home and wait.
No sir.
They interview you RIGHT after you finish. Lucky me, I was looking like I just rolled out of bed and I hadn’t shaved in days. Thankfully, they did not care and I ended up getting two interviews because they liked me so much! Woot woot! Now I just have to wait to hear more.
This morning at work I was sitting at my desk and I saw two birds playing. They were kind of wrestling and nipping at each other. It was so odd. I had never seen birds do that before. I sat there watching for a while and thinking how cute it was.. until… GASP! One of the birds went limp and I realized they were NOT playing! This was attempted MURDER!
I ran to the door, opened it and yelled out at them, and of course they both flew off. I haven’t seen them since (and it’s been hours) so hopefully they stopped. I took video too… but this was while I thought they were playing. I was not intending to make a snuff film.
They were apparently fighting over the nest above our door. Scandalous! I will take that next down if they can’t behave!

Hey Mr. National Geographic Explorer… Did you ever stop to think that they might be mating? Perv… “Birds do it…”
