Last night I went to Eric’s house for a little movie viewing party. He was hosting it to show two documentaries, An Inconvenient Truth and Who Killed the Electric Car?. The first one was kind of boring, but the second one was pretty interesting.

It’s pretty sad how bad the environment has become and to know that it’s just getting worse. It amazes me how naive and ignorant the majority of the US public is. The things that they just blindly believe from the Bush Administration is AMAZING. I just can’t even fathom how people don’t see all of his lies, and how people can’t see how bad global warming has become.

It’s amazing to think we can put people on the moon, but supposedly can’t make a good functioning electric car? Come on people! It’s obvious that if the car companies wanted to make an electric car, they could, and they have, they just yanked them all of the market and scrapped them because it wasn’t going to make them the money they wanted and it would hurt the oil industry.

It’s kind of sad how they say that these hybrid cars are the new thing and that they are so efficient, when the technology is out there to make more efficient cars that don’t rely on gas at all. It would be kind of like if right now all the HD TV’s were pulled off the shelves and then in a few months they released Hybrid TVs that had HD sound but not HD image and acted as if it was the best new technology out there.

I’m amazed that people have fallen for this! I’m amazed that people can deny global warming when there is verifiable proof. When you can literally see the glaciers melting away! The US has become to big to even operate anymore. The big businesses have so much money that they buy whatever laws and regulations that they want. They buy their congressmen and even the president and vp. So much of how our country operates right now is influenced by OIL and Business Profits, not by what is moral and just. These big business are so worried about making more and more money right now, and not even worrying about the damage they are causing in the future. How much money do the oil companies need to make? They are raking in billions each year and we (the consumers) are paying more and more for gas every day. How is this allowed to happen?

Ok I’ve complained enough, time for a late breakfast now!

Something to say?
