Just at work today working away… and I’m eating delicious Korean food from Seoul Food. Work has been extra busy and stressful this week because we recently fired someone, so we’re short staffed. Lourdes is new and not quite up to speed yet, and then Dale and Jesse both ended up taking this week off. So really it’s just been two and a half people here. Lourdes has been a big help though, and she is good at keeping me company and without her it would be miserable here.

Anyways… for being so short staffed, it hasn’t been horrible. I’ve been working a lot at night to keep caught up. There’s just so much I can’t do while I’m in the office, like pulling reports and planning stuff because the phone rings too much and I lose track of what I’m doing. By the end of this week I’ll have 51.25 hours, and that’s if I don’t come in Saturday to do some work, which I might.

One of my friends here at work asked me for help on a project for the 3M CEO, and then I just ended up doing it all, with input from her. It’s a sign for his office that says, “George’s Workshop.” It’s a little odd to think that I’m making something that’s going to be on the CEO’s office wall. 3M is a HUGE international corporation and I’m like at the very bottom of this food chain and yet my work will be in his office. Cool

Lourdes and I have plans this weekend to go to the Flea Market, which is kind of exciting and scary at the same time. We’re going on Sunday, which is the worst day of all because it’s SUPER busy and all the Chicanos and Mexicanos go after church, all dressed up in their sequins and pumps. OMG, it’s going to be good times laughing at people.

Speaking of laughing at people… Paco and I were watching Premios los Nuestros awards show last night on Univision, and I couldn’t stop being shocked at the things those women wear. NO SHAME - SIN VERGÜENZA! I guess it’s a good thing that big Mexican ladies are proud enough of their fat to wear skimpy clothes, but really… it’s only good for them, because the rest of us don’t want to see their love handles flapping over the tops of their hot pants.

Today I started the process of trying to get a mortgage and buy a house. I’m thinking I want to live in the Anderson Mill area, or maybe in the area where my sister lives. My lease is up either in May or April, so I need to get moving on things. VERY EXCITING. Paco keeps telling me he wants a house with a pool, but WHATEVER. Does he think I’m made of money?

I have been thinking that I want a house with a layout that has the master bedroom sharing a wall with one of the other bedrooms so I can put doors between the two bedrooms and turn the one bedroom into a HUGE master bedroom closet for Paco and I… because two gay men (especially two that love clothes and shoes like we do) sharing one closet just does not work.

So anyway, I have been thinking about that for a while and then the other night Paco told me the same thing! Oh, but at least when I was thinking about it I was willing to share the huge closet with him. When he proposed the idea, it was just a big closet for him. Greedy.

Something to say?
