Ok, let’s start with last weekend. I wanted so bad to go to see Volver at the theater and I had already made plans with Paco, but he had to cancel because he had to help a friend move because of a bad breakup. I couldn’t really be mad about that. So I stayed home by myself Friday night waiting for him to come home. Pathetic… but whatever.

Saturday he went to work and I spent the day goofing off, cleaning, doing laundry, and watching TV. Saturday night we were again supposed to go see Volver. We only had to go help his friend finish moving some things first. I didn’t mind at all. It was just a few things and not bad at all, even though it was SO cold out and drizzling.

We stopped by the theater afterward to catch the 9 or 10 showing, I don’t remember, and it was PACKED. There was nowhere to park. I hate seeing movies in a packed theater. I hate strangers. I despise having to sit next to people chatting, munching food, crinkling wrappers, slurping drinks, chatting on their phones, and wearing too much cologne or perfume. I’d rather go when it’s empty and enjoy the silence… so we postponed for Sunday morning.

We got up early Sunday and went to the theater and it was much emptier and the movie was awesome. I have to say I think it’s the best Pedro Almodovar movie ever. I really enjoyed it and I didn’t even hate seeing that horse faced woman, Penelope Cruz. She actually didn’t annoy me… I even kind of liked her a little.

We were laughing at how many old people were at the theater. It was all silver hair in there. So after watching a movie with the seniors, we went to eat at Luby’s with some more. Paco (and my sister) love the Luby’s. I hate any place that is cafeteria style. I agreed to go because he likes it. The food was good, but the place is just ugly and depressing… and for some place so ugly and depressing, you’d think it’d be a lot cheaper. They have to be making some money, can’t they spruce up the place a bit?

Monday is when the ice storm hit here and we all got out of work at 1. WOOT WOOT. I ain’t scared of no ice, so I left work and went shopping with Paco. We went to the Sprint store to get him a new phone. And I think the Sprint guy was hitting on my man! It was this white guy that spoke fluent Spanish with a Spanish (not Mexican) accent. He put his number in Paco’s new phone! He’s so lucky I’m not the jealous type. He was really nice to Paco and helped him out a lot so I don’t care… especially if it’s going to get him a good deal. I trust Paco.

Tuesday they ice storm had hit it’s peak and work was cancelled. SCORE. However, they transfered all the calls to the after hours work cell phone which I happened to be carrying. So I spent all day working from home. It wasn’t a big deal. I’d rather get paid and work from home, than be at the office with annoying people.

Paco and I went to the store get some food and we were surprised that NOBODY was on the roads. I swear just about every car in the complex was in it’s spot. We had the roads to ourselves. It was quite nice. I drove slow and very safe, but it really wasn’t that bad out.

Wednesday was a delayed opening at work (10am) but I went in at 8am. It was a busy day too… just like today. But it sure was nice being a day and a half. I feel like there was a lot more I wanted to talk about, but I can’t remember it now.

I’ve been watching Armed and Famous and I think it’s HILARIOUS. I hope everyone will start watching it so it won’t get canceled. Seriously, what can be better than watching Latoya Jackson running around with a gun, busting into trailer homes arresting crack heads? Oh the shame of being arrested by Latoya Jackson. Oh and this last episode she was giving out relationship advice to a battered spouse. RELATIONSHIP ADVICE from LATOYA JACKSON… that’s rich.

OMG I am so hungry that it hurts. I feel like I’m going to vomit and my stomach is empty. Gross. Speaking of OMG, it’s so funny when Paco says “Oh my God” because he always uses it wrong. Like last night he was shopping for CDs online and there was this one that was out of stock. He called me over and asked me what “out of stock” meant. I explained it to him and he exclaimed, “OH MY GOD!” Really? An out of stock CD warrants an OMG? He’s so adorable.

Today I was singing to myself while cleaning and you know… I can’t sing. I think I might be tone deaf. Then I started wondering, is “tone deaf” an actual medical condition or is it something that people just say to be mean. I mean, I know I can’t sing. I know it’s out of tone, so then obviously I’m NOT tone deaf right?

Something to say?
