I think this is the longest I have gone without updating my blog. I’m just too busy at work, and then when I’m at home I don’t want to do it.
I’ve seen a few movies since my last update. I watched Fast Food Nation with Michelle and Eric. That movie was so horribly boring and stupid. I can’t believe it got made and that so many famous people were in it. HORRIBLE. They tried to tell too much in a short period of time and there were too many stories lines going at once. It felt like you were watching three boring movies at once and they barely ever connected. HORRIBLE!
I also saw Borat, which was AWESOME and hilariously funny. It ranks up there with the funniest movies of all time. It’s definitely not for kids though. I can’t believe it is only rated R. It’s completely inappropriate for anyone under 18. I can’t believe some of the things they got away with and showed in a movie. AWESOME MOVIE. I am definitely buying it when it comes out on DVD.
Thanks Giving was ok, but long and too much food was consumed. We went to Paco’s house first and had lunch with his family. His mom made a turkey, fettucini Alfredo, bread, and some other stuff and it was all good. Then we went back to my apartment because I was cooking a turkey and a ham. We loaded it all up and went to my family’s house for dinner. Paco and I were stuffed and tired.
We watched Over The Hedge while we were there. I thought it was pretty funny. A lot of the cartoon movies coming out these days are actually pretty funny for children and adults and it’s so amazing what they can do with the CGI.
I have been off from work since Wednesday at 4pm, and it has been SO nice. The sad thing is that time has been flying buy. It never goes this fast when I’m at work! No, when I’m there time drags on forever.
I managed to get some Christmas shopping completed, but not too much. I basically finished shopping for Paco and got a few small things for some other people. Shopping for him is easy because I always see things that I want to buy him. The only problem I have now is stopping myself from buying more for him. I need to start making a list so I can plan my shopping trips better.
Oh I also decorated for Christmas. It’s a pity that this stuff only gets to come out for one month out of the year. Actually, I think I leave it out close to a month and a half, but I wish it could be out longer… without me seeming like a freak. I also finished my Christmas cards!
Paco hasn’t had as much time off as me, so that kind of sucked. He only had Thursday off, and then the other days he’s been getting home at 5ish. It’s still more time together than we usually have, so that’s nice. Friday night we went shopping together and I got a bunch more ideas for presents for him. We had dinner at the Rio Grande, which is the old home of Real World Austin.
It’s a nice restaurant and the prices are too bad, but the service was not that great. I ordered my enchiladas without sour cream and pico de gallo, but it came with both. The waitress brought it to the table and before I could say anything she said, “I’m sorry I asked them not to put it on your plate but they did anyway.” That SUPER annoyed me. Part of the job of being a waiter/waitress is to check the food before it leaves the kitchen so you don’t bring wrong orders out. She knew my order was wrong before she brought it out and she still didn’t get it fixed. That plate should never have left the kitchen, she should have had the cooks redo it, not come out an apologize for it being wrong. DUMB!
Yesterday I went to Gina’s to take some pictures of her and her kids for Christmas, she wants to give them to her husband as a present. That was kind of fun. I’ve been spending hours today cleaning up the pics and improving them. I had to remove some background stuff and put in new backgrounds. I’m uploading them now so I can print them out and see how they look.
My life has been rather slow lately. I guess that’s another reason I haven’t been updating; I just don’t have much to write about. I don’t go out much anymore because Paco is always working and I don’t want to go out without him. It just seems weird to be out while he’s at home asleep. Plus I am still so worn out from working so much that I don’t have much energy for anything else.
Oh well, I need to get back to doing laundry now.
