I really hate not being able to update more often, but I just don’t have time anymore. Wow, I just checked my blog and it’s been since last Thursday that I updated.
I can’t say much has happened. I barely even remember Thursday and Friday. Friday night I went shopping with my sister for birthday presents for my younger brother. We went to Barnes & Noble and to Target. I love Target and I have been addicted lately, and spending way too much money in there. The place is dangerous to my wallet. Saturday I went to my parent’s house for a while to hang out and to take the presents to my brother.
Saturday night I went to dinner with Paco at Rudy’s. Late on I went out with Xoch to Rainbow. I had a great time. I miss going out. I don’t have the energy I used to have, and I can’t dance as much, but it was still a ton of fun.
Sunday I bummed around the house, watched TV, and did laundry. Sunday night Paco and I went to Gina’s for dinner. Gina’s sister was there as well. We all sat around chatting, eating, and drinking. Gina, as usual, got a late start, so we ate late and we missed Desperate Housewives. The food was good though, and I had a nice time.
Monday morning I woke up and decided I did not want to go to work. I did not want to be awake. Unfortunately, I had to wake up and go into the living room so I could call in without waking up Paco. The system they have for calling in is such a pain. It’s all these prompts and you have to leave all kinds of detailed information. Then I had to call Dale to tell her I wasn’t coming in and what to do for the day, then called Mellisa to tell her the same thing just incase Dale didn’t show up as well. By the time I finished all of that, I was wide awake… but I still went back to bed.
Paco and I slept until noon! It was so nice. We haven’t been able to sleep in together in a long long time. We got up and went to have lunch, then decided to go shopping for the day. We went to the new outlet mall in Round Rock. It wasn’t as big as I had expected it to be, and it had way too many shoe stores. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many shoe stores in one place.
Paco and I found some good deals and I ended up buying four shirts and a new pair of sneakers. He bought two shirts, some track pants, and a pair of sneakers. We did good! We also did a lot of walking, so my legs were exhausted. They were already worn out from all the dancing Saturday night, so this just killed me.
It was so nice having the entire day with Paco. We haven’t had that much time together in quite a while. His schedule is so messed up now that we rarely get any large amount of time together. We have Monday nights and Sunday nights. Wednesday through Thursday he works until 10:15 PM, so I only see him when he comes home to bed. Friday night he works until 7 or 9, so I get maybe three hours with him before he has to go to bed because of working Saturday. Then I see him Saturday from about 7 - 12pm, then he’s back at work Sunday until 1. It sucks.
My trip to Mexico City is booked. I’m going with my older brother on the 27th of this month and returned on the 29th. He was already planning on going, so I’m just tagging along. I need to get some things down there for Paco, and I also need to get some things for Gina. I’m sure they will both be sending me with some stuff as well.
I also have a trip the next weekend to Mississippi, but Paco and I are going together on this one. We’re going to visit my friend Kristi. I’m very excited about it. I get to spend three entire days with Paco on vacation. We are flying into New Orleans and we will stay one night there. Then we will drive to Hattiesburg, MS. We will fly out from Jacksonville, MS. So we’ll get to see three different cities.
In December we’re supposed to go to New York on vacation together as well. That will be a really nice trip, but it’ll be cold. We had originally planned to go in October for our birthdays, but postponed so he could save more money. We haven’t been doing the best job of saving money. I know I sure haven’t!
Last night was game night. We went to have dinner at Pok-E-Jo’s BBQ and then to see Employee of the Month. It was ok, not the best movie, but entertaining. I don’t think it was worth $8.50 though. If you haven’t seen it yet, wait for rental. Jessica Simpson is not that bad in it, and she doesn’t exactly have a huge part. The movie is mostly about Dane Cook’s and Dax Shepard’s characters, but really there’s not much to the movie at all. You know how the movie is going to play out long before it’s over. It’s definitely not original.
