Friday night Paco worked late, so I spent my time working on a project for his birthday. I also watched a movie. I watched Tiptoes. It was an ok movie. I only picked it because it had Matthew McConaughey in it, but I forgot to check to see if it had Spanish subtitles, and it doesn’t. So I watched it by myself. It was odd. I like it enough, but yeah… it was odd.

There was a preview on that DVD for a movie that I want to watch. I knew when I was watching the preview that I should have wrote down the name of it, but I didn’t, and I forgot. SO I NEED YOUR HELP! The movie is about a woman that goes into (?) a coma before the Berlin wall comes down. When she finally wakes up, so much has changed, and she’s not allowed to have any excitement, so her son tries to hide everything from her. He makes fake newscasts and go to extreme lengths to keep her from finding out what happened. HELP ME! I want to watch this movie.

When Paco came home we went to dinner. It was kind of funny because he was trying to tell me where he wanted to go, and I kept thinking he was saying Koreano. The Korean place by the apartment is close that late, so I told him we’d have to go somewhere else. He didn’t argue, so we went to Chilis because it’s one of few places open that late in my area. One the way back home he told me that I didn’t understand him earlier when he asked for Kearano. He meant Johnny Carino, but all he was saying was CORE - EE - NO. Whatever. It was funny. So I told him we would go there Saturday night.

Saturday he got up early to go to work and I got up early as well, a little after him though. I had to wrap his birthday presents before he found them. I had hid them under the bed, but that was dangerously close. Luckily there’s enough other stuff under there that it wouldn’t have been too obvious that I was hiding them there.

I got them all wrapped and then went to Starzz salon to say hi to everyone, get some info from Rebecca, and have lunch with Joee. Paco want’s to go to comestology school so Rebecca was giving me info about that. Joee and I had lunch next door at Jimmy Johns.

After that lunch, I went and did some shopping. I have been shopping way too much recently. I bought a coffee machine, which is odd because I don’t drink coffee… but Paco does. He stops at McDonalds every morning for coffee and he needs to start saving his money if he’s going to go to cosmetology school. I’m trying to help my man out.

Saturday night we went to dinner at Johnny Carinos and it was packed with teenagers having dinner before their Homecoming Dance. Literally, more than half the people in the please were dressed up teenagers. Who knew Carino’s was such a hot spot with the kiddos?

Sunday we both woke up early, while he was getting ready for work I was making his sandwich. I’ve been making sandwiches for him in the morning because he’s always running late and doesn’t have time to do it himself… and me… I don’t care if I’m late. I put little snacks and notes in his lunchbox… his Superman lunchbox that I bought for him at Target.

After he left for work, I cleaned up the apartment and watched movies. It feels like I did a lot more yesterday, but nothing else is coming to me right now. Paco only worked until 3, and then we lounged around the apartment for the rest of the night. Oh we did go visit his family, which was interesting. He was in his room getting stuff together and his mother came out to the living room to talk to me. She doesn’t speak English, but we actually managed to have a good conversation.

Sidebar: I just talked to this woman on the phone… it was funny because she was telling me what product she had and she got NONE of it right. She said, “I have a Infocus (it’s 3M, Infocus is our competitor) PC Viewer (Digital Projector) serial number MP7740I (that’s actually the model number).” Really? Do you even know what you have????????

Ok anyway, so I sat in the living room talking with his mother. She actually speaks slow enough that I can understand her, and she didn’t seem to have problems understanding me. She took me around the apartment to show me pictures of Paco as a child and other things to do with him. It was actually kind of sweet.

Tonight we’re having dinner with his mother and his brother to celebrate his birthday, which is actually tomorrow, but his brother is working tomorrow night. We’re going to the County Line for dinner. I’m already craving the bread!

Last night we went out to Latino Night at Rainbow. I’m exhausted today. I wouldn’t normally have gone without taking time off on Monday first, but since it was his birthday weekend and all, I agreed. Now I am paying for it. I went to bed at 2:30am, and woke up at 6:30. Four hours of sleep is not enough for me.

I was hoping to go home early, but Stuart called in sick and we’re busy. OMG I am so tired. I wanted to come in late as well, but I remembered that I had a meeting at 9 and I had to make sure everyone went, so that’s why I decided to go home early. Now I’m stuck here. I should have come in late.

One Response to “I am so tired”

It’s “Good Bye Lenin!” My friend Mel told me all about it, but I have yet to see it.
