This morning it occurred to me that tomorrow marks four months with Paco. FOUR MONTHS! I’m very excited about that. It also occurred to me that his birthday is next Tuesday! I have no idea what to get him. Actually, I have a fe ideas… but I can’t share them.
Monday night I didn’t do anything interesting. I watched TV, downloaded music, and hung out with Paco. Last night I went to Javi’s house for game night. Eric was already there when I arrived. We had pizza and tried to watch a movie called Ellie Parker. It was horrible, and when I say horrible I mean completely unwatchable, like you’d rather poke your eyes out than have to sit through it. It was all filmed by hand, one what looks like a digital camera. And as if it wasn’t obvious enough that it was filmed by hand, they have to jerk the camera around a lot and move in and out quickly just to make sure you know it’s filmed BY HAND. That alone was so distracting that I couldn’t even focus on what was going on. There also didn’t seem to be any plot to the movie.
We turned it off about 30 minutes into it and watched Dancing with the Stars instead. While it was more enjoyable, it still frustrated me. Why are they so hard on Willa Ford? She is clearly the best female danced in the show, yet she continually gets low marks and criticism. Her and Maks did ONE small lift and they got in trouble, but didn’t one of the couples do a lift last week without anyone saying anything? I’m sure of it.
The judges were just in a MOOD last night. They were extra harsh on Mario Lopez, you almost thought they were going to jump over the desk and beat him down. It’s not like their opinion matters, America will still vote him in. I thought for sure they were going to let Joey get away with his lifts, but thankfully they did not. Although they weren’t nearly as hard on him as they were on Mario.
Jerry should just voluntarily leave to spare Willa. It’s so sad when people that can’t dance stay in just because they are popular. Sara Evans did much better this time, but she still looks stiff and like she’s holding back. I can’t believe they gave her the same score as Willa, it’s just evil. I’m not even a Willa Ford fan (of her music), but it’s just wrong how she’s dissed on that show. Vivica gets all this praise and she’s good, but no better than Willa… and her attitude alone should be enough to vote her off. She’s too cocky and that cartwheel she did during the middle of her routine last week was SO out of place. And I thought the rule was your feet should never go above the waist line (ie lifts) and a cartwheel breaks that rule.
After that I went home and downloaded more music. I’m trying to find two new versions of Paulina Rubio’s new song, Ni Una Sola Palabra. There’s a Norteña version and a version by Pasito Duranguense. I want them so bad that it hurts. Wal-Mart is selling one version of the CD with the Norteña and Pasito Duranguense version. Target (where I purchased mine) had the Reggaeton version. I tried downloading them on-line, but those versions are exclusive to the stores that were selling them. So I have to find other means.
