It has been six days since I have last updated my blog. I’m shocked. I’ve never gone this long without updating. I’ve just been too busy to get it done. If I’m not slaving away at work, then I’m exhausted at home, or spending time with Paco.

So Labor Day weekend is gone… or was it Memorial Day? I never can remember which one is which. Friday night I took Paco to an Otorlaryngologist (Ear, Nose, and Throat) doctor to get a checkup. That was interesting.

Saturday he worked all day and I hung out with Gina making some of the cutest baby announcements you will ever see. It took us about 3 hours to cut them out and assemble them, but they came out so CUTE! I need to scan one and post it in my gallery.

Saturday night Paco and I went out to Rainbow. I hadn’t been out in 4 weeks! I had a great time, but I tore up my feet again. I had this idea to go dressed in a UT Football theme, so I wore my white jeans, my UT burnt orange and white jersey, my white boots, and my white cowboy hat. I had put a UT Longhorn sticker on the front of my white cowboy hat, so it all matched. It was hot… I was looking good.

Those white boots aren’t broken in yet, so I know have gross nasty wounds on my ankles and a big hole in the back of my left heel. Pity. You’d think I’d learn my lesson, but I don’t. I can feel my feet getting torn up, but I just dance through the pain.

Sunday Paco and I slept in until 2 and then I made breakfast for us. We lounged around a bit longer, then drove to my parent’s house. We hung out down there for a while, had dinner, watched Nacho Libre and checked out the Alpacas.

Sunday night we went out to Rainbow for Latino night. Man it was CROWDED. I expected there to be drama, what with all my ex’s and all the gossips in the same building with us, but there was none! There were even a few times when we went to the bar and literally had ex’s of mine standing on each side of us… and still no drama.

I had the best time dancing, even though my feet were killing me. I had the best time with Paco as well. He has since asked if I could maybe go in to work late one Monday a month so that we can go to Latino night again. I need to get on scheduling that.

Monday we slept in a again and then spent the day doing NOTHING. He did some laundry and we watched movies, and that was it. Nothing too exciting for a holiday.

Tuesday night was game night and we met at my sister’s house for movies and dinner. Michelle (with a little help from me) made chicken burritos and we watched Just My Luck, which I totally expected to be retarded, cliche, and cheesy… and it was, but I still enjoyed it.

Paco sent me a text message yesterday telling me he got a raise at work. I’m super excited for him, so I decided to do something special for him last night. I went to the store and bought balloons, and some little Olympic looking medals from the party favor section, and some Spanish stickers that say things like Fabuloso, Magnifico, Excelente, and Bien. He also LOVES Superman, so I superimposed his face over Superman and made a little card. He usually comes home after I’m asleep on Wednesdays, so I taped the card to the bathroom mirror, then put a bunch of Post-it notes in a heart shape on the mirror, taped up some balloons, and hung the medal (which says WINNER on it) on the mirror.

He usually goes into the bathroom first to take a shower, so he’ll saw it as soon as he got home. He was very happy and thankful.

Oh and I guess I’m officially domestically partnered now. He text messaged me at work today with: “Please puedes comprar pan para sanwich en el HEB. Besos!” Which translates to: “Please can you buy bread for sandwiches in HEB. Kisses!” He’s asking me to pick up bread after work? That’s so the married life. Oh and last night when he came home he told me he bought me some cereal and milk for work. Cereal and milk? What happened to flowers and candy?

Something to say?
