Game Night?

Last night was lame. I didn’t do anything fun. It was a difficult day at work and I needed to chill. I worked on building my dad’s website some more, and then downloaded some music, watched some TV, and did a lot of nothing. Francisco came over around 8 and we had dinner and hung [...]

This is a picture of an art installation at BlackMail. The window display was awesome too, but for some reason I didn’t take a picture of it.

I love being domestic

So Thursday night what did I do? Geez, I don’t even remember. It feels like that was weeks ago. Oh yeah, I do know that I watched The Benchwarmers and was disappointed. I expected it to be much more funny, but that was because I thought it was a Jared Hess movie, and didn’t realize it was actually an Adam Sandler movie. Adam’s movies are funny, but just not as funny as Jared Hess. I don’t know what made me think it was a Jared Hess movie to begin with… I guess because John Heder was in it.

John Tucker

Anyway, the movie was just ok. I didn’t expect it to be anything fantastic, I knew it was going to be cheesy and silly, but I did expect more that what we got. It felt a little bit rushed and contrived. I also expected the girls to do more drastic things to John, hello the word DIE is in the name of the movie. Some of the things they did were funny, and the movie definitely had some good laughs, but overall it’s not worth the theater price. Wait for rental.

Usted cree en Fantasmas?

The movie was set in the times of the Spanish civil war, at an orphanage. The boys at the orphanage are all children of republican fighters. One of the boys is murdered and as a ghost, he haunts the new boy. One of the workers at the orphanage (Eduardo Noriega as Jacinto) is up to something and has some secrets. The movie is about what goes down at the orphanage and how the boys get themselves through it. Pedro Almodovar produced the movie and Marisa Paredes (who is in a bunch of his movies) is in it. All of the actors are great in it, and even the kids are amazing.
