Saturday night I was supposed to have dinner with Francisco and then go out to RCC. We had problems communicating over the phone in the Spanglish so we couldn’t work out the dinner plans..
Francisco ended up meeting me out at RCC later on. Dustin and Doug were out as well. I didn’t get to dance much with Dustin because he kept hiding out in back and then snuck out early. RUDE.
I did have a great time and I think I may have been a little drunk. I hadn’t had any thing to eat in a while and I think the small amount that I drank really hit me hard. Javi showed up, but it was late and we didn’t get to dance. I had an awesome time dancing cumbias with Jeremy.
Sunday I hung out with Francisco. We went to lunch at Lone Star Cafe because he wanted steak and I didn’t know where else to go because I don’t do red meat. We left our translation books at home and were still able to have a pretty good conversation. My Spanish is improving amazingly fast.
When we got back to my place I had an email from Xochi with some more pics from her happy hour. This one is my favorite.
I made dinner for us and invited Javi to come over and hang out. We watched Monster in Law. Francisco had never seen it, but Javi and I have seen it like 5 times each. It was still funny this time around! We watched it with Spanish subtitles for Francisco. I learn a lot reading the subtitles and listening to the English dialogue. I think I’m going to start turning on Spanish subtitles for everything!
Work is really slow today but I have a bunch of stuff that I’ve been putting off that needs to get completed.
