Even though this weekend was two days shorter than last weekend, it sure did feel a lot longer, but in a good way. Friday night I had another date with “Paco.” I like calling him Paco, it’s cute. Anyway, we met up at the Gap in the Arboretum and then went to my place to watch a movie and hang out.
We watched Nanny McPhee, which stars Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, and Thomas Sangster. It was a cute movie, totally a children’s movie, but I liked it all the same, and so did Paco. It had kind of a cheesy overly sweet and romantic ending that reminded me of Ever After. After the movie we got ready to go meet up with M.Lo for the ethnic festivities (aka her birthday).
That girl is some serious crazy. She was still getting dressed when we arrived, so we were in the kitchen putting together her birthday sash and getting her tiara unboxed. She came out of the bedroom and the first thing she said was “Ok, take a picture for MySpace.”
We went downtown to 6th Street (aka Straight People HELL). The Republic of Texas biker rally is in town again and it was CRAZY downtown. Just about every other street was blocked off and filled with parked motorcycles. Scary people were everywhere! I don’t even like going to 6th Street on a regular weekend, but this was just insane.
We went to three different bars, Cedar Street, R-Bar, and the Co-Op. M.Lo’s friends April, Tracy, and Chris met up with us. I had never met any of them. I thought M.Lo would be the craziest wildest person I would ever meet, but no… April has now stolen the crown. I took lots of pictures of her and M.Lo dancing and being crazy.
My favorites below, the rest are here

Around 1am I was done partying. I was tired and hungry. Paco and I hadn’t eaten dinner so we were both starving. We told M.Lo we’d come back for her and we left to go get some food. When we went back at 2am she had decided she was still not finished partying, so we gave her keys, money, lipstick, and ID to her and she went off with Tracy and April to continue partying until 4am.
Saturday Paco had to work so I spent the day with M.Lo at her Roller Disco Birthday Party. My sister (Michelle) and I were cracking up because there were about 10 other parties going on at the skate center, and of course all for children under the age of 10! So M.Lo was looking like a big hooker (very cute though) and all the mommies and daddies were giving her the stank face for walking around dressed like she was.
She had her birthday cake made to look like the invitation I made for her party:

Yes I realize the letters on her shirt are backwards in the right picture. I just didn’t want to make the effort to fix them. I was in a rush!
My poor sister fell pretty early on during the party and broke her arm. It was UGLY, bone was all popping out, not through the skin though. She was in LOTS of pain. I had to take her to the side, get her roller skates off, put her shoes on, and all that. Luckily her heterosexual domestic life partner (Joe) was shopping close by for a car, so he came to take her to the hospital. She wanted him to take her. So obviously, I was not able to enjoy the party after that.
After the party we went to Trudy’s for food and some adult beverages. M.Lo was feeling embarrassed and insecure about having to walk into Trudy’s wearing her roller disco outfit, of course it didn’t help that she also had on hooker heels. You know everyone was staring when we walked in.
I had a delicious chicken breast stuffed with chorizo. I normally don’t like Trudy’s, so I was surprised to enjoy the food so much. I normally try to avoid Trudy’s like the plague. I hate that place with a passion. During lunch I heard from Joe that Michelle had left the hospital in a splint, and may have to have an operation. That totally sucks.
Saturday night I met up with Paco again. We stayed in at my place and watched a movie instead of going out. We watched Love Actually. I thought it was kind of a weird coincedence that both movies we watched this weekend had Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, and Thomas Sangster in them.
Anyway, First we started watching the movie with the audio dubbed in Spanish, with English subtitles. Ok, I have to ask why did it say in the menu “Audio: Spanish 2.0″? I didn’t know language had versions. Something wasn’t right, I think he wasn’t able to understand the 2.0 version of Spanish, maybe he only knows 1.0, so he asked me to put the English back on with Spanish subtitles. I was glad though, it was weird hearing someone else’s voice when Hugh Grant talked. He really liked the movie, and of course I LOVE the movie. I’ve seen it a bazillion times already. He decided that we are like Aurelia and Jamie in the movie. They fell for each other and neither of them spoke the same language. Awwww…. lol
Sunday Paco and I went to pick up M.Lo to go to lunch. Javi ended up meeting us at Guero’s downtown. We had lunch and then did some shopping. My favorite store was having a 50% off clearance! I was super excited because there were some shirts that I had been wanting. The bad thing is that the reason they were having the clearance is because they are not going to sell clothes anymore. Suck. Javi and I both bought shirts, and I can’t wait to wear mine.
We spent all DAY shopping and running around and it was SUPER hot outside. We were so drained. Paco and I went back to my place to take a nap. We hung out for a while longer and he ended up leaving at 9:30… and that was my weekend.
