It’s exhausting being off from work for four days.
Friday night I picked up Ryan and we went to meet everyone else for dinner at PF Chang’s. Anyone know what the PF stands for? Pretty Food? Anyway… Javi (who I’m now calling Habi-Air), Michelle, JewJoe, Doug, Dustin, and Eric all met us out. Dinner was delicious and conversation was good… that is when Joe and Doug stop talking nerd. Michelle and I were laughing about how there were so many crushes at the table. I won’t divulge them all, but let’s just say I think just about everyone had a crush on someone else, and not the person they showed up with. There was lots of side whispering and gossip going on, which is always the super funnest.
Everyone was picking on me because I shaved my head, well everyone but Doug because he’s the only sweet person. I didn’t care though, I love it, so that’s all that matters. It’s fun being bald, although it does make my clothes look different. I made sure to wear something to accentuate the bald head, something a little edgier. I feel like a different person.
After dinner most of us (excluding Doug, Michelle, and JewJoe) went out. We went to Rainbow, and even though it was Splash weekend, it wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be. It was still way busier than a normal Friday. Not that it really matters, we still had plenty of fun and I had more than enough fun people to dance with. Will and Ray met us out at Rainbow.
Ryan and I were laughing at all the weirdness that was going on. Mostly how everyone else was flirting with everyone. I won’t name names publicly though, but I will say that I think there were some “connections” made.
Ryan and I left before everyone else, and when we got to my vehicle I sat down and instantly felt something weird. I was sitting on something, but what? I thought it was my Mt Dew, but it was still in the cup holder. I reached behind me and pulled out a beer. A open bottle of Tecate, and it was half full. What? I was about to yell at Ryan for leaving an open beer in the seat, but then realized I picked him up at home… no beer.
I turned towards my window, reached out, and put my hand right through it. Did someone break my window? I opened the door and looked down and there was no broken glass. I immediately checked to make sure my iPod and my digital camera were still in the car, and they were. Everything was still in there. I know I didn’t leave my window down. I know I wasn’t driving with my window down. I have electric windows, so you can’t put them down without the key in the ignition, and the key was with me. So weird. And yes, now my car smells like beer.
Saturday I woke up extra late. I have to have my full eight hours of sleep. I went to breakfast with Habi-Air at Maudies Milagro. What a mistake that was. We got seriously ignored my our horrible waitress. I hated her. Habi thought I was being mean, but seriously even her face annoyed me. She was all trying to be our best friend and didn’t even apologize for ignoring us for like 20 minutes. We were just sitting there with NO water, NO chips, IGNORED.
After brunch, Habi came up for a while and we watched TransAmerica. I had just got in from Netflix and was saving it for the right time. That movie was SO good. It was WAY better than Brokeback Mountain. Felicity Huffman did an AWESOME job! After the movie, and after Habi left, I went shopping for a bit. I bought a new shirt to go with my new head. I trying to work the tough bald guy look.
I had made a CD for DJ TJ. I had been promising to burn him Pachuco, so I just threw some other stuff on there too. I was so shocked, he played a lot of the songs on the CD! I love DJ TJ, he’s the bestest DJ ever. I had a put a bunch of old school booty music on there, like “It Takes Two”, “Wild Thing”, and “Push It”, and he played them. OMG, so much fun!
I ran into Noe at Rainbow, he was with his friend Latoya. We danced a bunch to the booty music. After Rainbow shut down, I went with him and Latoya to breakfast at Starseeds. I’m so thankful that they didn’t want to go to Kerby Lane or Magnolia, I would have had to say no. I was not about to wait for three hours for a table. I was SUPER hungry. All weekend I have only been eating like one meal a day, not because I’m dieting or anything, just because I haven’t been too hungry, or haven’t had much time.
I had a burger and it was so freaking good. I don’t know if it was because it was 3am and I was starving, or if it was really just that good, but I think I’m going to have to go back there and try it again. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmm.
Sunday I woke up late AGAIN. M.Lo and J.Lo came over and we went to the pool. First we went to the pool at the front of the complex, but it was all dirty and gross, so we went to the other pool, which was all kind of dirty and gross. It’s funny how we are grossed out by pools with leaves in them, but are perfectly ok swimming in the lake or the ocean and there’s no telling what kind of nastiness is in those.
It wasn’t really warm enough to be swimming. We hung out there for a very short while and decided it was boring, so we went back to my place and hung out watching TV while J.Lo chatted on MySpace. After they left, I took a little nap then got ready to go out to Rainbow for Latino Night! WOOT WOOT! I only get to go to this a few times a year, when I’m off on Mondays, so I’ve been looking forward to this for a while.
I was shocked that not very many people I knew were out, like people from my Charlie’s days. I did see a few familiar faces and at least I had people to dance with. I saw Francisco, Ray, Jamie, Kiko, Ivan, the evil pirate that hates me, and a few others. I spent most of the night dancing with Francisco. He’s this guy I met a year or two ago at Latino night. He doesn’t speak much English, but he’s totally cute and fun. I always see him there and we always dance, but usually don’t dance as much as we did last night.
Oh, I saw Jorge there too. I’m still not talking to him. I think he’s cut off forever now. He is not a good person and he always causes me drama. Ugh… thankfully he did not try to come talk to me.
Today I didn’t do much at all. Xoch came over and we had dinner and watched TransAmerica again. It’s rare that I can watch a movie again so soon, but I really liked this one; I could see it again and again. I’m doing laundry now, and I need to start getting ready for bed. I’ll probably have to take a sleeping pill to go to sleep because I didn’t wake up until 1:30. Man, this coming work week is going to be EXTRA hard.

The “PF” in the name PF Chang’s stands for Paul Fleming, the owner of the chain (same as Fleming’s Steakhouse). Now you know…
