Last night we went rollerskating, to Rainbow Skate Night. By “we” I mean, my sister, Dustin, Doug, David, Ian, M.Lo, J.Lo, Eric, Andrew, and a bunch of others. It was a very good crowd, lots of fun people.
I had an awesome time. I was skating like crazy and fell a thousand times (well more like pushed, tripped, and shoved down). I wore myself out, but then when don’t I? Dustin and I skated the most. We were out there being crazy all night. Dustin was doing his usual thing of trying to physically harm people. Poor Eric can’t skate very well. He does that thing where he walks with the skates and pretends he’s skating, but it’s SO not.
Dustin (he says he did it jokingly, but I doubt it) bribed J.Lo (who is only 12 and so impressionable) to knock down Eric. That girl said, “Ooooh I need the money!” She took off after Eric and didn’t even hesitate. I didn’t know if I should watch or not. I was a little bit traumatized. I felt bad for Eric, but how could I not watch? It was like watching a scary movie, trying to peek between my fingers and all.
She rolled up next to him, stuck her foot out, and he went flying backwards. I was stunned. I didn’t think she would actually do it… and for only FIVE dollars! The girl is cheap! I shall remember this when I need someone else taken out. Eric was a good sport about it though.
M.Lo and I were horseplaying hard and we both ran into a wall and I blocked with my left palm, which is now swollen, purple, and in massive pain. A few times I got knocked down and then her and Dustin decided to take turns jumping on me, all WWF style with the Arms out and full body drops. I have some nice bruises and scrapes. It was all worth it though.
Afterward, Doug, Dustin, Eric, and I went to TGI Fridays (NATCH) because it was the only place open that serves alcohol. We had some snacks and drinks. I was very impressed with the size and taste of their Ultimate Mango Berry Margarita. Those drinks were huge, and strong, and delicious!
Of course because I was out having drinks I did not get home and to bed until 1am. What was I thinking?!?!?! And on a work night! I will be dead all week. Today I am thinking it was worth it, my opinion might change by the end of the week… actually probably by lunch time today.
