Yesterday I left work early and went home to sleep. I was exhausted, and I’m exhausted again today. I was falling asleep in a meeting this morning. I just couldn’t stay awake. Why am I so tired? Ok, well I know it’s because I can’t sleep at night, but why can’t I sleep? It might be stress, but I doubt it.
I left work at 2:30 and I slept from 3:00 until 5:30. I was still tired after that! I went to meet up with the gang at Pok-E-Joe’s for dinner and then off to see Stick It at the movies. I didn’t even notice until Eric pointed it out, but we kind of had a theme going on there with the name of the restaurant and the movie.
I was really looking forward to this movie. It was made by the same people that made Bring it On, which I absolutely love. I have to say that it is one of my all time favorite movies. Well, Stick It, did not live up to it’s predecessor. I went in knowing it was going to be basically the same movie, but with gymnastics instead of cheerleading, and I knew it was going to be cheesy. So it’s not like I was expecting much, and yet I was still left disappointed.
The things that made Bring it On so great were the many cheerleading routines, the witty banter, the crazy slang, and the cute boys. Stick It was lacking on all of those. No matter how bad the movie was, if they had put in more cool gymnastics, I could have forgiven it all. I could also have forgiven it if they had more cute boys. Apparently, I was the only one that thought Frank (Kellan Lutz) was hot. Everyone else thought Poot (John Patrick Amedori) was hot and Frank was retarded looking. Whatever!

So this morning I was in a conference call meeting. It was my boss, and engineer, and I in the room with two engineers in Germany on the line. I was totally dozing off. Like seriously falling asleep and I think my boss caught me. He was all, “Tom, how do you think you can make this feature useful for your team?” Damn. Busted. I was lucky that I was kind of listening, so I knew what was going on at that point.
How is it only 12:15pm???? How am I going to make it through this entire day?
