Sick Day

Posted by Tomithey on April 28th, 2006

I’m excited today is Friday. Actually, I’m always excited about Friday! Tomorrow I have a haircut at 1 and then I’m going to a little party at 2, then later on I’ll be going to Rainbow. That doesn’t leave me much time for shopping, so I may have to do that tonight after we go to the gym. Ugh… I don’t know if I’m going to want to go shopping after the gym.

Murder at 3M

So last night was game night. We (Eric, Javi, and I) met up at Chili’s for dinner. Then Eric and I went skating. Javi wussed out on us. Apparently he once fell while skating and he’s been traumatized ever since. I told him that even Madonna got back on the horse after her injury, but he wasn’t having any of that. Michelle was supposed to go with us too, but she decided to stay home. I told them she was sick. I don’t think that was really why she didn’t show up, but it sounded good to me.

Yawn

So I colored and watched television. I really love that new show, The New Adventures of Old Christine. It’s HILARIOUS. I have not laughed that hard in a while. Julia Louis-Dreyfus was the best thing about Sienfeld, and I’m glad she’s back on TV. Her son is really funny in the show too. I hope they also have Wanda Sykes on more often, she’s always funny in everything she does.

Hating ABC again

Sunday was a bum day. I slept until 12, which really isn’t that bad considering I didn’t go to bed until 4am. It’s still only 8 hours. I did some house cleaning, organized stuff, did laundry, went shopping for groceries, and watched a foreign movie (Mostly Martha). The movie was really good! Germans makes some great movies. It was kind of the same story line as the crappy (really crappy) American movie, Raising Helen, but a MILLION times better.

Target Rocks!

Today I haven’t done all too much. I woke up early and I watched Pride and Prejudice, the new one with Keira Knightley. I liked it a lot. I thought Keira was a bit too toothy and annoying in a few scenes, but overall I loved her and I loved the movie. I have the other two versions in my Netflix queue as well, I wonder if I’ll like them as much?

So lazy

After the nap I decided to watch Chicken Little. I have to say that I was totally unimpressed with this movie. This could easily have been a 30 minute cartoon. It should never have been made into a full length movie. I was surprised that it had quite a few big name actors involved, because it was REALLY a lame movie. The story line was weak, the action was mostly inexistent, and the characters never really got developed. It was pleasant, but I would have been mad if I had paid to watch this in the theater.

She wanted to hurt me

We played “Scrabble” next. I’ve never played it before… I know it’s shocking, but I haven’t. I actually did really well and was in the lead a few times. Michelle got lucky though and pulled out a win, with 3 points more than me. We hate her. She was also super picky about my words. Ok, so I did try to make up one word “hage”, but she didn’t want to give me “sic” or “oy”, and they are SO a words! How can you play Scrabble without a dictionary on hand? That’s just ridiculous!

Good Morning

Last night my sister canceled on me to go to the gym, so I just worked out at home while watching TV. Nothing interesting to report there. I’m trying this workout I found on the net, but I could really do it all because I needed some of the machines at the gym. I guess I try and start it again tomorrow.

I hate ABC

Again, ABC is screwing with it’s public. They didn’t air Grey’s Anatomy again last night. What is with this station? They are really banking on the assumption that we are so hooked on these shows that we’ll continue to put up with all this nonsense… sadly they are correct. I hate them!
