I had the craziest weekend. Well, the majority of the crazy was on Friday.

My friend M.Lo and I had made plans to have dinner. We were going to go drop off her daughter at her father’s house for the weekend, then go to dinner. Well, plans got changed. We went to dinner at Al La Carrera, then picked up J.Lo (her daughter, who is 11) at home and took her to her father’s house.

After dropping her off, we went to get drinks at Baby Acapulco’s in the Arboretum area. I text msg’d Jorge on his phone to see if he wanted to join us. He doesn’t have a car so he had to walk over, but it wasn’t far. He did take FOREVER to show up though.

So while we were waiting, we decided to prank call him. M.Lo called him on her phone and yelled at him in Spanish. She made up this lie that her name was Blanca and she found his number in her boyfriend’s pants. He was trying to deny that he knew her boyfriend so she was like, “Well your name is Jorge and you cell phone number is _________, right?” He started apologizing and feeling bad and she asked, “Are you gay?” He said yes and then she said, “I knew it. You just answered all of my questions!” He just kept apologizing.

When he showed up to meet us he was all freaked out and told us the story about his call and we just pretended to be surprised and shocked. I told him that he was probably drunk and just doesn’t remember this guy. I’m all, “You know how you get when you are drunk. I told you that’s why you shouldn’t drink so much.” SO mean, but so funny!

He decided he wanted M.Lo to call the lady back and ask her for more info. So he gives M.Lo his phone and she dials up the number, which of course is her cell phone. Her cell phone rings and I answer it, “Is this Blanca? This is Jose!” Jorge just sat there for a minute looking dumbfounded. It took him a while to process it all, then he yelled, “OMG it was you guys!”

I dropped M.Lo off at home and then Jorge and I went downtown to Rainbow. I danced a bunch with my favorite dance partner, Harvey, and Jorge hung out with his friends. Then Jorge went off to Rain while I stayed at Rainbow. I stayed there for a bit longer, then ditched over to Rain.

Jorge was off with his friends dancing and VERY drunk, so I went to see if I could find my friend Dezi. Instead, I ran into Jeff. He is M.Lo’s straight friend that I rarely ever see, but he’s totally fun.

He was out celebrating his birthday, and he invited me to an after hours party at his apartment. Oh and he was at Rain with his gay friend from work and his itty bitty skinny little Asian girlfriend.

I agreed to go to his party and we left the club (or rather got shooed out because they were closing) and started walking to my vehicle.

After dropping him off at his car, we followed him home. As we get to his apartment I told Jorge, begged Jorge, not to say anything and not to embarrass me. We get inside and Jeff is making drinks for everyone and just being goofy, like always. He tells me, “Dude, I think Jorge was trying to steal my car.” We were all laughing and he said it like two more times. For some odd reason, Jorge got pissed and through his drink at Jeff.

OMG! We were all standing there in shock. Did that really just happen? We’ve been there 5 minutes and already it’s drama.

So Jeff tells Jorge, “You’re lucky I’m a nice guy. Otherwise I’d have to kick your ass for throwing a drink on me, in MY apartment, on MY birthday.” Now, you have to realize that Jeff is like 6′3″ and has big arms. He’s a strong man. Jorge is like 5′4″ and definitely not strong.

Jorge started yelling at Jeff calling him names and then Jeff started yelling at Jorge and it got ugly, so we had to leave. SO FREAKING EMBARRASSING!

I was obviously pissed off at Jorge. I should have known better than to hang out with him. Ever since we broke up we have never been able to be friends because he always does stupid stuff like this. It’s been freaking 6 years since we dated and he still can’t be civilized around me.

So he starts arguing with me and tells me to look at him. Yes, while I am driving he wants me to look at him and argue. IDIOT. I refused and then he tried to grab my face and physically make me look at him. Then we started wresting and I told him to keep his fucking hands off of me and not to speak to me anymore. I should have just dropped him off right there and made him walk. I’m way too nice.

I thought about going back to Jeff’s because it was really close to where Jorge was staying, but I was too mad and I just figured it was best to go home. It was already 4am anyways. I’m too old to be out that late.

Saturday I got up extra late and I watched movies and layed on the couch all day. I watched White Oleander, which I thought was really good. I loved seeing the main character change and evolve throughout the movie. Her look completely changes and she becomes a completely different person. Renée Zellweger wasn’t nearly as annoying as I thought she would be. She really nail that annoying whiny character though.

I also watched Derailed. It’s totally not the kind of movie I would usually watch, but something about it interested me. It was pretty good, but a little predictable. I hate when I’m able to figure out what’s going to happen, and luckily that’s quite rare because I’m totally clueless.

Saturday night I went out to Rainbow again. I had a good time, just like usual. I left Rainbow when it started to empty and I went over to Rain. I wasn’t planning on doing that, but Dezi had messaged me, so I decided to go see him. Dezi and his boyfriend left early, so I went home.

Sunday I got up at 10 and met up with my friend Waide for lunch. We went to Magnolia cafe, which I am so not a fan of, but whatever. As soon as I was arrived, I was reminded of one of the main reasons I am not a fan of that place. We had to wait for nearly an hour to get a table.

We went to the movies after lunch and went to see Failure to Launch. That movie had so much potential and I was enjoying it for most of the way through, then they had to go and get super cliche and ruin it all. ******SPOILER ALERT***** You may have already figured out from the commercials that the girl (Sarah Jessica Parker) gets hired to date (Matthew McConaughey) and get him to move out of his parent’s house. Well, in true cliche romance fashion, they actually fall in love, and then he finds out that she was hired to date him and thinks that their romance was all false. She decides to tell him everything, but not before he busts her and decides to hate her. So then he’s not talking to her and she’s all sad, and then their friends have to hook them back up and then they fall in love all over again. UGH… so typical… and SO lame. ******END SPOILER ALERT*****

After the movie I went home and then went grocery shopping for dinner food. M.Lo and Javier came over and we had burritos and watched the shows, DH and Grey’s Anatomy. I thought for sure GA was supposed to be a new episode, and it WAS NOT. RUDE. ABC is getting on my last nerve!

So that was my weekend… a little busy… a little crazy… a little drama… and completely exhausting.

Something to say?
