It’s been a while since I’ve updated. I’ve been busy. I haven’t updated since WEDNESDAY! I think that’s the longest I’ve gone without updating! Wednesday I went out to NXNW for a work dinner. Dale and I went early and have several adult beverages. The dinner was fun and the drinks were very much needed after a hard day of work.

Thursday I went to dinner with Javi. We went to Changos on South Lamar, where Ivan works. I was crazy craving some of their nachos, in fact, I still have a craving for them. I got to chat with Ivan a bit, which was nice. I hadn’t seen him in a long time. Javi and I had fun and we got a little rowdy from the drinks and I we were having inappropriate conversations, maybe a little to loud. I feel sorry for everyone that sat around us.

The work week was horrible busy and stressful. I worked 45.5 hours, which is a lot for me, because I normally don’t even reach 40. Friday I was at work for 10.5 hours. I was beyond ready to go home. By the time I got home I was so exhausted that I just crashed out on the couch and watched the WB all night. I didn’t want to do anything.

Saturday I got up early and milled around the apartment for a bit, then went to pick up my sister and Javi to go shopping. We were trying to find something to wear for Eric’s Oscar party, but I ended up buying an outfit to go out in that night. I just couldn’t think of anything I wanted to wear to the party. I bought this cute cadet hat, t-shirt, and belt. I was rocking the faux hipster look… as if all of my looks are faux. I’m a total poser.

Javi came over after the shopping and we watched Chocolat, which was very good… a lot like Como Aqua Para Chocolate, but still really good. I think it was different enough to be acceptable, and not be a total rip-off. We both colored while we watched the movie. Coloring is my way of relaxing, well other than drinking.

Dustin called and invited me to go bowling with him and the boys, the boys being Doug, Andrew, and Jonathan. I had already promised people that I would go out dancing, so I said OK to the bowling, but I knew I was going to have to leave early. We met up at Dustin’s place, and then went to Westgate Lanes. I had no idea Westgate was so ghetto. I thought Dart Bowl was the most ghetto bowling alley in town, man was I wrong.

My first frame I bowled really bad. Dustin decided to make a bet with me. The loser, between the two of us, would have to wash the winner’s vehicle in shorty shorts. Against my better judgment, I agreed. Sadly, for Dustin, he lost. I ended up bowling really well. I got four strikes in a row and finished with a score of 167! I get a free car wash! I think Dustin got a little over a 100.

Dustin got brave and made another bet. If he won, I would have to go on a 6 mile bike ride with him. If I won, he would have to clean the inside of my truck. Wouldn’t you know it, I won again. Seriously, I bowled on a league for 2.5 years and I had already shamed him in the first game. Why would you wager again? Aww… I think he just wants to spend time with me. ;)

I left after the second game and went to Rainbow. I didn’t have as good a time out as I normally do. I was wearing my new boots, which are very uncomfortable, and the Lesbians were out of control. What is it with the Lesbians at Rainbow? They were all over the dance floor being drunk, belligerent, and disoriented. Usually there aren’t so many of them, so it’s not bad, but last night they outnumbered us and there was no room to move on the dance floor.

The men’s side of the club was littered with drunk sorority girls, that didn’t even have enough manners to say excuse me as the shoved their way around. One of them kept flipping her hair in my face and bumping into me. I’m really not a woman hater, I just don’t like the majority of the ones that hang out at Rainbow because they are usually ramming into everyone, spilling their drinks on everyone and the dance floor, and flipping their hair in everyone’s faces… oh and occasionally you get clubbed by their purse while they are dancing.

My new boots were tearing up my feet, literally, but I didn’t want to quit dancing. I’m paying for it now. After I left Rainbow, I even limped on over to Rain and Oil Can’s to see if anyone I knew was out. I ran into someone at Rain that I’ve known for a long time, but haven’t see in a while. We talked for a bit, then went to breakfast at Katz’s. I took him home after breakfast and dropped him off, and didn’t end up getting to my apartment and into bed until 5am.

I had to be up early-ish on Sunday to go out to my parent’s house. I needed to put some stuff in storage, and I hadn’t been out in a while, so it was time. I stayed out their relaxing and fighting off the urge to sleep for a few hours. I managed to vacuum out my truck and wipe it down some, so Dustin’s job won’t be quite as hard. I considered washing it as well, but I’ll save that for him.

Sunday afternoon I came home just in time to get dressed to and head to Javi’s to pick him and Michelle up for Eric’s Oscar party. I really wanted a nap, but their just wasn’t enough time. Eric’s party was fun, and the Oscars show was actually quite funny and interesting. Jon Stewart did a really good job making it fun to watch.

The only thing that wasn’t fun was the loud Lesbians (here I go with the woman hating again) behind us that kept booing and screaming and every nominee announcement. I know it was supposed to be a party, but people were being so loud that we could barely hear what was going on… especially during Dolly’s performance! I couldn’t handle all the noise, it was stressing me out. We ended up leaving at 9. Eric wasn’t happy with us, but I just couldn’t be there any longer.

I came home, took my Ambien and was out cold. Today I called in to work. I didn’t want to get out of bed. I had meant to take off today in advance, but forgot. Pity. My feet are still all tore up and killing me. It’s uncomfortable to wear regular shoes. I don’t know how I’m going to go to the gym today. It’s going to be painful.

I’m doing laundry today too. I haven’t done it in over three weeks, and while I did still have plenty to wear, I didn’t really have much that I cared to wear. Most of the clothes I had left needed to be ironed, and that was just not going to happen. Ok, I have to get dressed to go to the gym now!
