Jesus Protects

I got the brilliant idea to buy a cigarette case and use it for a case. You know, one of those metal snap shut cigarette cases. So I went downtown today after work and picked one up. I went to Monkey See Monkey Do and got the coolest case. It fits so perfectly that you would think it was MADE just for my camera. And the best thing of all is that it has a picture of our Lord and Savior, the Baby Jesus, all growed up and riding a Harley. Yes, that is right folks… the Lord growed up Baby Jesus will be protecting my camera!

B for Boring

After the movie, we went to see V for Vendetta. I was bored out of my mind. I SO did not enjoy that movie. Ok, that’s a bit of an exaggeration. I wasn’t miserable, and the movie wasn’t horrible, but I didn’t enjoy it and I was very much anticipating the end. I know it’s a fantasy/sci-fi whatever kind of movie, and I think that’s the problem. I just can’t get into the make believe. The whole idea of the movie was just ludicrous!

Is it starting to get to that time of year when all the TV shows are in reruns? The only thing that was new last night was The New Adventures of Old Christine, which is pretty darn funny.

No more DRAMA

So we went to see Failure to Launch. That movie had so much potential and I was enjoying it for most of the way through, then they had to go and get super cliche and ruin it all. ******SPOILER ALERT***** You may have already figured out from the commercials that the girl (Sarah Jessica Parker) gets hired to date (Matthew McConaughey) and get him to move out of his parent’s house. Well, in true cliche romance fashion, they actually fall in love, and then he finds out that she was hired to date him and thinks that their romance was all false. She decides to tell him everything, but not before he busts her and decides to hate her. So then he’s not talking to her and she’s all sad, and then their friends have to hook them back up and then they fall in love all over again. UGH… so typical… and SO lame. ******END SPOILER ALERT*****

When I told her what I wanted, she said, “It’s going to look like a costume hat.” I don’t think she realizes that I like to dress kind of crazy. This hat is going to totally stand out and be obvious. It’ll be a little too loud to wear very often, but it’ll be fun to bring out every once in a while. I’m super excited about it! I will need to go shopping this weekend to start seeing about building the outfit.

White Hats ROCK!

She emailed me back and I was going to go in for a fitting today, but she’s not working so I’m going to go in tomorrow during lunch. I’m taking an extra long lunch to do it. I am so excited about it! I’ve been wanting a white hat for a long time and I’m finally going to have one made. I’m hoping if I go in tomorrow that she will be able to have it ready for me by Saturday.

I spent the day lounging on the couch watching TV. Oh, I watched three movies this weekend. First I watched Just Friends, which I thought was hilarious. That Ryan Reynolds is a funny funny man. I saw Babette’s Feast, a Danish movie. I liked it a lot and that’s surprising since it was such a religious movie. Sunday I watched Walk The Line, which was much better than I had expected. Joaquin does an amazing job as Johnny Cash and his voice is shockingly good. I wasn’t as impressed with Reese’s singing, but she still did really well for someone who’s not a singer.

That’s not natural!

OH! And I bought some bottled water because it said on it,”Naturally Fruit Flavored.” I wanted water with a flavor, but I didn’t want any of that scary chemically flavored stuff. So when I read that on that bottle I assumed it meant it was flavored naturally with fruit. Last night I was drinking one and I noticed on the side of the bottle, “Contains no fruit juice.” What is that? How can they say “Naturally Fruit flavored” and “Contains no juice”? It should say, “Naturally flavored to taste like fruit.” That would be more honest.

I finally got pictures from M.Lo, from when we went out Friday night with Javi. If you put your mouse over the thumbnail it should give you a caption, and you can click the thumbs for larger images.

I watched that new show last night, “The New Adventures of Old Christine. I LOVE IT. First of all though, I hate the name. It’s too long! All of the best and longest running shows have had short names, Friends, Sienfeld, Cheers, M.A.S.H., Frasieryou get the idea. Maybe they’ll change it to Christine after a while?
