It’s been days since my last post. I kept wanting to update, just never got around to it. I never wanted to make the time to do it, although I’ve had plenty.

Wednesday I ended up leaving work at 11. I just couldn’t bare it anymore. Work was slow and I was itching to get out. I convinced my boss to let me go early and I went straight out of town to my parent’s house. I stopped at the grocery store to get stuff to make dinner and was at their house a little after 1. I spent the evening playing Uno with my mom and my little brother, then made dinner, then my dad joined us for more Uno until around 10pm when they went to bed.

Thursday I got up early, because I can’t ever sleep in at their house. They all walk SO loudly and they make so much noise in the morning. I played cards with my brother until our Thanks Giving lunch. My dad had invited his boss (Luis) and his wife (Elaina). My dad and Luis stayed outside taking pictures of the Alpacas while the rest of us played Uno some more. Man, that game is addicting!

After lunch we hung around for a while, then Luis and Elaina left. My mom, little brother, and I dug out all my Christmas decorations from the shed. I swear it seems like less and less every year. I packed up my truck and I went home. It was exhausting carrying up all those boxes of decorations up three flights of stairs.

I had borrowed all three Harry Potter DVDs from my mom, so I watched those that night. I had thought about decorating for Christmas, but couldn’t get into the mood. Friday I didn’t do too much. I knew I didn’t want to be out near any place where there would be shopping because I knew it would be crazy. So I just stayed in and watched more movies. I watched Just Married and Kilometer Zero, both were ok. I really don’t like Ashton Kutcher, but I do like Brittany Murphy. It just seems like Ashton Kutcher plays the same character in just about every movie. He’s like Jim Carrey, not much range.

Friday night my sister came over and helped me decorate for Christmas. She’s kind of Jewish now, so she doesn’t decorate at her house. It was nice having someone help me out. She set up my three little trees, which was great because I HATE fluffing the trees. I still had to fluff all the garland, so I didn’t get out of it completely.

I put up less stuff this year so it doesn’t look as Christmasy as it has in the past. I just didn’t feel like stapling up the garland in the doorways again. It’s so much effort and it damages the walls. It’s just really not worth all of that. It still looks very nice in my apartment, so I’m happy.

Saturday I went to get my haircut and then did some shopping with my mom and my little brother. I bought one more Christmas present, and two shirts for me. At this rate, I’m never going to make my goal of being finished by Dec 1. Actually I think I can go ahead and give up on that goal. It’s definitely not going to happen.

Saturday night I went out to Rainbow to go dancing. It started off kind of slow. I couldn’t get into the groove, and my dancing was off. Eventually it all happened and I had a good time. It was a weird crowd out. I think there were a lot of out of town people in and a lot of the regulars were out. I was just happy that all of my regular dance partners were out. My knee started acting up towards the end of the night, so I didn’t push it, but I also didn’t stop dancing.

Sunday was a bum day. I hung around the apartment watching TV and did a little grocery shopping. I basically wasted the day away. Well, actually I basically wasted the whole weekend away. I didn’t do anything special or get much done. I guess that’s why my four and a half days off seemed to go by so fast. Oh well… I needed the break.

I don’t have much going on this week. Tomorrow I have to go to court to fight a traffic ticket. That’s going to suck.

Something to say?
