Friday night I was sitting at home enjoying the peace and quiet when M.Lo called and asked if I wanted to go out and do something. I couldn’t make up my mind at first, but then decided to have dinner with her.

M.Lo and I went to Baby A’s for dinner and as we were sitting at our table I text message Xoch to tell her that I wasn’t going out. I hit send, and literally looked up and over and saw Nancy sitting at a table a little ways over from us, which meant Xoch was right next to her. So I called Xoch to tell her I was there as well.

She came over and sat with us for a bit and begged us to meet her out, but we both just kept saying no. We told her we weren’t going out. Both of us were too tired to go running around downtown.

Saturday I didn’t do much of anything. I did meet up with Dante (my little from Big Brothers Big Sisters) for one last get together to tell him I was getting out of the organization, and it wasn’t his fault, and all of that junk. He took it really well. We had never really connected, so it wasn’t that big of a deal to him. I feel bad ditching on him, but it really was not working out for us, and he deserves a match with someone he’s more compatible with.

After that, I went home and chilled out all day. I watched Mrs Brown from my Netflix. The tagline for the movie is: “Queen Victoria, the world’s most powerful woman. John Brown, a simple Scottish Highlander. Their extraordinary friendship transformed an empire.” That’s a lot more interesting than it actually was. I didn’t see any empire being transformed. It was an ok movie, nothing extraordinary.

Saturday night I had planned on going out to RCC, but since my knee wasn’t doing so great, I decided to stay in. I knew I was going to be spending Sunday running around shopping, so I figured it best not to push my knee any more.

I watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets because it was on TV and nothing else was on. I’ve never seen any of the HP movies, and I wouldn’t say I’m hooked, but I enjoyed it enough to watch the other ones. I don’t think you’ll see me reading the books though.

Sunday I watched Life is Beautiful (La Vita è Bella), which was a great movie and not as sad as I thought it would be. I got excited because Marisa Paredes was in it, and I recognized her from several of Pedro Almodovar’s movies. She had a bit part in it, but it was still exciting.

I also watched My Beautiful Laundrette, which I didn’t not like so much. It was ok, but kind of boring and there wasn’t much of a point to it. I hated the ending!

Sunday afternoon I picked up Michelle and we went to Sue Gibson’s studio sale. Neither of us bought anything because he stuff was way too eccentric for anyone we knew, and her jewelry was a little on the expensive side. I was even surprised that some of her jewelry seemed to be made out of Christmas ornaments from Target.

We went to South Congress and did some shopping and I found a Christmas present for my little brother, then we went to the mall and did some more Christmas shopping. My sister did an awesome job and pretty much finished all her shopping yesterday. Me, I didn’t do so well. I only bought present for 3 people… and one for me.

I was completely unprepared though. I hadn’t made a list and I hadn’t thought about gifts for anyone. I’m going to try to finish all my Christmas shopping before the end of the month. Wish me luck!

Oh Ma Gah….me too. I watched Harry Potter just because it was on….and now wouldn’t mind seeing the rest of them.
