Last night was bowling. We went to dinner at Korea House first, but Hella Botello () didn’t join us. He said something about having plans, whatever.

I just shafted again at the Korea House. Apparently the Teriyaki Chicken is the hardest thing to make there, because they can never make my food as fast as everyone else’s. My sister had Chicken Bulgogi and Eric had some meat dish, and they got their food like ten minutes before me. What is that about? You would never see that happening in an American restaurant. You don’t bring food to the table unless ALL of it is ready. Stupid Korea House!

I’m not sure how we did at the bowling because the other team had a sub and his handicap wasn’t figured yet. So… speaking of this sub… It was the famous Pink Lady, who in all honesty, is not a lady. Nope! He’s a man, and not a transsexual either. He’s an actual man, and he looks like a man, a homeless man, but still. Honestly, I think I have always thought he was just some scary homeless man that hung around the bowling alley every night.

We call him the Pink Lady because he ALWAYS wears pink. He will show up wearing a pink shirt with a pink windbreaker and a pink jacket over that, which is why he looks homeless. Only homeless people layer that much. Oh, and he has pink shoes and sometimes white shoes with pink laces. He also has a pink watch. I’m really surprised that he doesn’t have pink glasses.

Anyways, I think we won all three games because that’s what the computer monitor thingy told us, but the other team captain said he figured Pink Lady’s handicap and we actually only won two games and the match. Whatever. We’ll see when the official scores get distributed.

I bowled very well the first game, I got a 140 something. The second game I just didn’t cut it. I only got a 100. The third game I did the best and I bowled a 150. Yays for me! I never really do very well on the second game. Ooops, actually I just checked the stats and it seems that my first game average (for this season) is 121, the second game is 124, and the third is 139. Interesting….

Oh, someone on our team decided to wear baggy pants and undies and ended up half-mooning Michelle and I while he was bowling. We were NOT amused. So now that you know it wasn’t Michelle or me, you have a 50% chance of guessing who it was. Maybe we can start a fundraiser to get him a belt?

When I got home I checked the new for the elections results, and today I’m wearing all black today mourning the death of the Texas Constitution, common decency, and acceptance in Texas. The reason is because 76% of Texans voted in favor of the constitutional ban on Gay marriage. Which just means that 76% of Texas approved putting hate speech and exclusionism into the constitution. It was the saddest thing I’ve read since Bush got elected.

I’m not surprised by the results. I expected the Gay Marriage ban to get approved because we do live in bible country, but I am still really disappointed. It was already illegal in Texas for Gays to marry, but they had to go and put it in the constitution because they didn’t want judges giving that right to us. I’m sure what will eventually happen is that a judge (Supreme Court) will overturn this constitutional amendment on the grounds that it’s illegal or that it violates the US Constitution protecting the rights of EVERY man and woman.

I guess the religious zealots will be happy now that marriage is only for them, so they can go on destroying the sanctity of it all on their own with their divorce rates, adultery, and spousal abuse. I’m sure people like Britney Spears will be thrilled that she can continue going on having quickie marriages and annulments, without the Gays messing it up. If the religious idiots want to protect the sanctity of marriage so much, why not make it illegal to get divorced?

Maybe next they can pass some amendments to have us sit at the back of the bus, drink from separate water fountains, and go to different schools. Which just makes me wonder what group of people they will judge and hate on after they are done with us? What class of people will be the next ones to be persecuted for not fitting in with what THEY think is right, or what THEIR bible says is right. 10 to 20 years from now we will look back on these times and everyone will realize that what’s happening to Gays today is the same thing that happened Black people before us… and hopefully they will be just as ashamed of themselves for doing it to us.

What makes me most mad about all of this is that I pay my taxes just like everyone else, more than most of my straight counterparts because I don’t own a house or have kids. If I am going to be denied the same legal rights that straight people have, then I shouldn’t have to pay the same taxes. Why should I continue to pay taxes that go to WIC programs, subsidized school lunches, and things like that when I don’t have the right to adopt children, or get married, or basically start a family of my own?

Is that what the founding fathers wanted the US to be about? Doubtful.

I’m as pissed off as you, but remember - 76% of your neighbors didn’t vote for it. Turnout was low. The fundies did a better job getting their people out to vote.

If I hear any gay person bitch about it and then admit they didn’t vote, I may blow my top!

On your taxes this year, you get to claim a gay tax break. You only have to pay taxes commesurate with your rights as a citizen.

I’m not surprised with the outcome of the voting……so why am I so disappointed? Disappointed in my fellow citizens. Geez people.

Sunday, I bowled 84, 97, 87 (hush…that IS good for me). I think I am going to skip this next week. It was kinda stressful last week. I am on a team with my ex-b/f. Him and the other two on the team have formed a coalition and excluded me. Screw ‘em.

Something to say?
