Knee is good

Posted by Tomithey on October 31st, 2005

I don’t know why I’m updating this morning. I don’t have anything to say, but I am on break, so I might as well say something. My knee is better this morning, it still hurts, but I’m not in excrutiating pain anymore. I can walk, with a slight limp, which is better than yesterday.

Top 25

Ever since my stupid computer went wacky on me and I had to restore, my iTunes has been jacked up. I lost all of my ratings and my play counts. I’ve been working on re-rating my music for a while, but there’s not much I can do about the play counts. Anyways… so my top 25 is all weird, it’s basically mostly the two new CD’s I bought.

I Can’t Walk

I went to Eric’s party, which was fun, and thankfully Andy showed up like a minute after me, so I had someone to hang out with. We played pool and he kicked my ass, but then that’s not really a shock because I really suck at pool. We played ping-pong and I’d say we were about equal in there; we both sucked. Like most people I play with, we have to hit the ball to each other to keep the volley going. Then we played air hockey and it was an intense game, but I kicked his ass. We were both sweaty and worn out by the time the game ended.

A Poem by W

Posted by Tomithey on October 28th, 2005

This is a poem made up entirely of actual quotations from George W. Bush, arranged, for “aesthetic” purposes, by Washington Post writer Richard Thompson. A wonderful poem like this is too good not to share. A testament to literacy in the age of Every Child Left Behind.

North Country

We stopped in at The Pottery Barn and chatted with Jorge for awhile. They don’t have their Christmas trees out yet, so I’m going to have to go back and see those later. Jorge does all the decorating in there and he does beautiful trees, so I want to go back to see them. I wasn’t too excited about the decorations they did have out. I’m going to need to go over to Smith and Hawken to get a few more things for this year.

Mary had a little lamb… but Tom ate it.

Last night I went to dinner with my sister, her domestic life partner (Joe), and his parents at the Roaring Fork. I’m a picky picky picky eater, so there wasn’t much on the menu that I was interested in ordering. I ended up ordering some mixed meat item that came with Elgin sausage, pork shoulder, and lamb. I wasn’t too excited about the idea of eating Mary’s little lamb, but I was willing to try it.

There’s nothing accidental about quality

Michelle, Eric, and I met up at The Frisco for dinner before bowling; it was Eric’s choice. Michelle got there first, and when I walked in and saw her sitting in a sea of old people I started to crack up. Like seriously, the average age in there must have been about 75. Mine and Michelle’s ages together would have still been younger than anyone around us.

no more pretty hands

Saturday I ran all around trying to find the perfect frame to put on top of my entertainment center. I was looking for a plush brown leather frame, and was having no luck. I went to Foleys, Dillards, Sears, Target, Michaels, Linens & Things, TJ Maxx, World Market, and then Hobby Lobby. I found something that was pretty close to I wanted at Hobby Lobby, but not exact. I was worn out by that point, so I gave in and bought it, even though it wasn’t exactly what I wanted.

Sniffles

Posted by Tomithey on October 22nd, 2005

After the mall, I came home and planted myself on the couch for the rest of the night watching teenybopper shows on the WB, my favorite thing to do! I went to bed early, slept in and that brings us to right now. I need to go get some food and maybe try to get some sunlight today. I need to get some allergy medicine too, because I’m tired of the congestion and the sniffles.

watch my belly grow

Not sure what I want to do this weekend. I’m looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow, I’m extremely excited about it. I’m exhausted! These allergies, and this job, are killing me! I have three movies from Netflix at home, so I have plenty to watch this weekend. Maybe I’ll just hibernate inside all weekend eating junk food and watching my belly grow. Sounds sexy right?
