Friday, during work, everyone kept asking me what my plans for the weekend were and I kept saying that I didn’t have any. Aside from working out with my sister after work, I didn’t have anything scheduled. I knew that it wouldn’t stay that way long.

As I was driving home from working out M.Lo called and asked me to go have drinks with her. I tried to refuse, but she doesn’t take no for answer. So I rushed home to shower and change, then met up with her and went to Manuel’s. We had some food and some drinks, then went to Changos for some more drinks, and so I could see Ivan.

The margaritas at Changos are seriously strong. We were both feeling a little woozy after that stop. We went to the mall so she could buy some lipstick at MAC, then headed downtown to keep drinking. We were having such a great time together jamming out to old school rap in my truck and doing old school dances in our seats.

We stopped at a traffic light and M.Lo decided to do a Chinese Fire drill (you know where you switch seats and the passenger becomes the driver), but I don’t let people drive my baby, so I refused and yelled at her to get back in the car. There she is standing in the street at the light trying to make me change my mind, and I’m yelling at her to get in. Finally she jumps back in and ends up slamming her head into the handle in the door way and falls into the seat. I seriously thought I was going to pee myself laughing.

We went to the Speakeasy down in the warehouse district, where he friend works as a bartender and had more drinks. You know, I don’t know what I was thinking having that many drinks. It never once entered into my mind that I should stop. I was having entirely too much fun and I just didn’t care. It’s been so long since I’ve gone out and just forgotten about everything and had that kind of fun.

We were havign so much fun at the Speakeasy, and I remember at one point M.Lo said something to me about the reason we became friends is because we are both beautiful. I agreed and added that we make each other look better.

We moved on next to RCC and decided to do some dancing. I was amazed that I was able to two-step and waltz with flip flops on, and I was able to go forwards, backwards, and spin! Let me tell you, that takes some talent. I had to scrunch my toes up extra tight to keep those things on. We hung out at RCC for a while trying to sober up before we had to go pick up J.Lo (her daughter) from her friend’s house.

Saturday morning I got up (all hungover and sick) early because Xoch called and asked me to go to the University of Texas with her to work on an art project. I met up with Xoch and we went to UT for a while to work on making her flip books. Then we drove to M.Lo’s office to see her and Rico Suave for a while.

Xoch and I went to go eat lunch at PF Changs, and then did some shopping. I haven’t really been in the mood to shop for clothes lately, so I couldn’t find anything that I liked. Nothing was calling my name and I was really too tired to care. I dropped her off at home and then went home to nap and watch a movie.

I started watching La Flor de mi Secreto, but wasn’t able to finish it because I started getting and making phone calls and had to get ready to meet up with Xoch and Rico Suave for dinner at Vivo. Her and Rico Suave had margaritas at dinner and I had a sangria. They were almost drunk off HALF of their margaritas, and I wasn’t feeling anything.

We went to RCC and I spent a lot of time dancing with my usual dance partners, and with Xoch and Rico Suave. I was having a great time. I don’t think I’ve smiled and laughed that much on the dance floor in a long time. We stayed longer than I wanted because Rico Suave was dragging his feet flirting with some boy.

Xoch and I were laughing about it later, comparing his technique to mine. She said he takes all night to flirt, whereas I’m like a vulture… I circle once, then swoop in for the kill. Damn right. When I want something, I don’t waste time. But a lot of times, I just flirt for the fun and practice.

Sunday was a very slow day. I finally got some time to relax. I didn’t get to sleep in because silly Leo was messaging me on my phone at 9am. So I got out of bed earlier than I wanted. I watched the rest of La Flor de Mi Secreto, which was really good. Then I watched Johnny English, which was pretty funny, but also predictable.

I went to Carlos’N'Charlies to meet up with my sister and Joe at 6. I stayed for about two hours and had some drinks and nachos. It was loud (the band) outside, so we really couldn’t chat. Michelle and I were annoyed with this one bartender boy that was overly pretty, yet straight. He was odd. Actually there were several oddities in that place.

After hanging out there, I went home, and got myself ready for bed and then got in it. I was TIRED!

One Response to “It was a long one!”

My Lord…if you aren’t eatin’, your drinkin’. Well, if I’m not shoppin’, I’m drinkin’. :)
One of my goals in life is to go to RCC (never been)…I believe in shooting low and hoping I hit it.
I think oddities follow me around. Everywhere I go, there are freaks. And, if there is a Loser waiter/waitress/bartender/etc in the joint….they’ll end up my cross to bear. I was at Abuelo’s and asked the Phoebe’esque waitress a question. I barely got to the question mark and said, “uh, never mind” after seeing the brainless look in her eyes.
Was Johnny English the one with Natalie Imbruglia in it? I love her.

Something to say?
