Last night I met up with Xoch at Shady Grove for dinner. They were having some live music thingy there, but thankfully we were able to eat and get out of there before that started. I am not a fan of the live music and especially if it means trying to shout over it to have a conversation.
We went to Target after dinner so I could buy some wrapping paper stuffs for my sister’s birthday presents. I was disappointed with the selection, but still managed to find something cute.
It started raining like scary crazy while we were shopping and while we were at the register lightning struck in the parking lot and the accompanying thunder nearly deafened us all. We walked outside and I was perfectly willing to swim to my truck and come back to the door to get Xoch, but she insisted on going back in to shop and kill time until the rain slowed down. Which was probably a good idea… because you know evil melts in the rain.
Today is my busy day at work. I only have to be on the phones today for an hour and thirty minutes. Friday’s are heaven for me. I’m not tied to my desk/phone and I can listen to my iPod all day. I’m starting my music selection off today with all my favorite Ana Gabriel songs. It’s a ranchera morning! I’ll speed it up a bit with Shakira next, then move on to high energy Paulina Rubio by the end of the day.
