Last night I went to hang out with Gina. We went to Lakeline Mall and spent an eternity in the Disney store. That Gina loves the sales, and they were having a big one. I did some looking around in Fast Forward while she shopped in Victoria Secret, but I just couldn’t find anything I couldn’t live without. Some of their stuff is really fun and cute, but the prices are just crazy.
Since I finished so quickly in Fast Forward, I entertained her girl (Citlali is 5, Maya is 18 months) while she finished shopping at VS. It’s amazing how much the girls have grown. I was at the hospital when Citlali was born, and now she’s FIVE YEARS OLD. Where does the time go?
I hung out with her at her house for a while afterward then went home. I thought about going out to RCC, but decided I was too tired and bed seemed more inviting.
Today I woke up early and went to pick up my sister and Liz at my sister’s house. We went downtown so Michelle could get her nose pierced. Unfortunately we were 30 minutes early and True Blue Tattoo was not open yet. So we killed some time in some touristy store on Sixth Street and I bought a new buckle. It’s super cute. Liz and Michelle bought sunglasses.
I took pictures with my cell phone of Michelle getting her nose pierced. I was upset that I forgot my camera! Anyways, you can’t see much because the guy’s hands are all in the way.
She didn’t scream or cry, which was surprising. I thought she’d at least jump or flinch, but she did really well… other than feeling woozy after it happened. The nose ring looks cute and I’m sure it’ll look cuter after the ink dot washes off and the swelling and redness fade.
I also took a picture of the really cool larger than life sized nurse neon sign in the shop.

After the piercing we went to lunch at the California Pizza Kitchen. I had a Caeser Salad, and I wished that I had ordered a pizza because the salad was not all that great. The dressing was odd, it was too fluffy creamy; kind of like a merengue. It wasn’t gross, just not great.
We did a lot of shopping after lunch. We went to South Congress and my sister and Liz bought a few things, then we went to Vertigo where I bought another black cowboy hat. My old one is all worn and beat up, so it was time for a new one. I’m definitely going to be wearing my new hat and buckle out tonight, which has me all excited!
We also went to Target where we all loaded up on things. You can always find stuff you “need” at Target!
It was crazy hot out today and miserable to be out walking the streets. Even more miserable to half to walk down stinky alleys downtown with trash dumpster. That’s an assault to all of your senses!
I think now is about a good time for a little nap, then have some dinner and go out dancing.
