Lynn and I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I liked it ok and all. It was better than the original, but it still had some annoying bits. I wasn’t found of the new Oompa Loompa(s). I liked the original ones better. I also didn’t like the Oompa Loompa songs. They were kind of dumb… ok, no, they were really dumb. The boy who played Charlie was precious, and the other children were perfect for their parts as well.
Last night I redecorated my apartment and I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am about how it turned out. In fact, I will begin to tell you and you will read this with breathless anticipation.
Ivan came over last night and I made us a caeser salad for dinner. He’s trying to lose weight (although he really doesn’t need to), so I had to make something healthy. We watched Sexo, Pudor y Lágrimas. We both thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It was a hilarious take on relationships.

Today is going ok. I’m glad I was out yesterday because now I’m happier and I have a little more patience to put up with these people. Last night, when I told Ivan that I had skipped out on work, he was shocked and appalled. He just couldn’t understand the concept of missing work. He’s a very hard worker, and he works 60+ hours every week. Meanwhile, I think I’m going to die if I work anything over 45 hours.
I made a date with Ivan and picked him up at 7. We went to have dinner at Manuel’s and there was a long wait, which was kind of annoying, but I really like the food so I was willing to wait. Manuel’s is owned by the same people who own Changos and Ivan is the manager at the south Changos. While we were waiting we had some drinks. Ivan had the Cucumber Martini which was actually pretty good, and I had a margarita with Sangria.
Next I watched the documentary Born into Brothels. It wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but it was definitely a good movie. It’s bout all these children living in brothels and how some of the little girls are just a few years away from becoming prostitutes themselves.
I’m sitting here eating my black licorice, drinking Makers (whiskey) and Coke with a splash of vanilla, and listening to Enya. Nice! I could do this for hours.

I watched Thalia’s Greatest Hits DVD while making dinner and eating. She has some seriously bad videos. I was cracking up. She also likes to pretend like she’s tough and hard and doesn’t really pull it off.
So we left there and went to Charlie’s. I waas thinking about how much fun it would be to just dance all night, and completely forgot about all the drama that I went through the last Friday I went there. Eric and I walked around the bar for a bit, checking out the crowd, and I said hi to all my friends. I saw Mad Cow (the evil ex-roommate) and he tried to avoid having to look directly at me, so I made sure to cross right in front of him as much as possible. HA HAHAHAHAH
