Last night I watched Happiness because it was recommended to me by a friend. Well I don’t if it was recommended so much as it was mentioned. Having already seen Welcome to the Dollhouse, I knew that this movie wasn’t going to be normal. I was surprised by the amount of stars in the movie.
I didn’t like Happiness as much as Welcome to the Dollhouse. It wasn’t as funny and it was a little more twisted. At times it was even a little boring and slow. The thing about both of these movies is that I couldn’t help wondering what kind of parents would let their children be in these movies and say those twisted lines. I wouldn’t want my kids even watching these movies, let alone star in them and have lines!
Both movies did have similarities, like the deadpan acting. Things that really should have had people acting hysterically were taken in stride. It had a few really funny lines, but for most of the movie I was wanting to fast forward because it was too slow.
I should have gone swimming last night, but I didn’t get home until late, and I kind of forgot. Tonight I will try to remember to do it before I head off to dance class. Tonight is the last night of shuffle lessons, and I think I’m getting pretty good at it. I need to start trying it out when I’m out on the weekends.
