Last night was lame. I cleaned out all the boxes under my bed. Yep, that’s right… I use the space under my bed for storage. It’s sick. I don’t normally keep boxes, but lately I’ve kept boxes to things that I’ve just bought, just incase I might need to return the item. The problem is after I’ve decided to keep the item, I forget the box is under there.
So last night I cleaned it all out. Yay! I have space under there now! I have to clean out my closet and my laundry room next. I have so much junk that I really don’t need and I should stop storing it all.
I also played with iTunes a bunch. I’m seriously addicted to my music library. I’m all OCD about it. I have to fill in every bit of information possible. Right now I’m putting the years in for all of my songs. I currently have 7400 songs and I only have 1888 left to do! I should be able to finish that by the end of the week.
The reason I started doing this was because I wanted to make a fun 80’s playlist, but I don’t really know which songs came out when. I spent the first half of the 80’s being too young to care about music, and the half of the 80’s overseas in Japan. So when we moved back to the US in 87, I was completely unaware of the music scene. I caught up on my 80’s music by watching classic MTV.
Anyway, point is that I needed to fill in all the years to know what came out when. I’m actually surprised by a lot of it. Filling in the year released on some of those songs made me realize just how old I am. Songs that I love and remember as so recent ended up actually being SO old. What’s even more shocking is that I have a song (or more) that was released in every year from 2005 all the way back to 1965. The oldest song I have is from the 50’s but I don’t remember what it was right now.
I went to bed at 11 last night, but I’m still exhausted like I was up all night. I guess I haven’t been sleeping well lately. I hate when that happens! Tomorrow I’m having dinner with Jimi, which is exciting. I really don’t ever get to see him enough. I’m sure we’ll have a good time hanging out.
So does anyone know… when the Austin smoking ban goes into effect in Sept (?), does that mean no smoking in bowling alleys too?
