Yesterday people were getting on my last nerve. Someone was at my desk every five minutes asking me to do something, complaining about something, and looking for something. Sometimes I feel like I’m nothing but a babysitter here. I have to keep track of everything for everyone and even more sad I have to keep everyone getting along… cuz believe me… someone’s always mad at someone.
After work Javi and I went to dinner at Maudie’s Milagro. Our hostess guy was Sassy McBigLips and our waiter was an adorable preppy/yuppy looking guy. Those two drinks I had were enough to make me feel so much better. Javi wanted me to have a third, but I’m not keen on the DWI, so I denied.
After dinner we went to my place and watched some television… mainly the Rob and Amber wedding. The more I see that Rob Mariano, the more I like him. He’s all kinds of the hotness. Their wedding special wasn’t nearly as cheesy as I thought it would be. Although, I can’t imagine thirty years from now them showing their grandchildren their wedding videos and being like, “Yep, that’s right… our wedding was a TV special.” How odd is that going to be?
Today is already shaping up to be another annoying day, but I can’t really get into why here on the www. Uggghhhh!
Anyways… in other news, I’m totally rediscovering the wonderfulness that is Mariah Carey. I know, she’s all cheese, but you can’t deny that some of her stuff really was great. Like Vision of Love, Fantasy, Hero, Always Be My Baby, Love Takes Time, Dream Lover, and from the new CD, It’s Like That and We Belong Together.
I saw her sing We Belong Together on Oprah yesterday and it was amazing. Her voice is just incredible and she hit all the notes just right. No doubt she’s still freaking crazy and a total whack job, but she sure can sing!

I use to love Mariah Carey. As a matter of fact, I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing the first time I heard her on the radio. I was completely blown away! I went out and bought her “tape” that very day. That was how impressed I was with her music. I too loved her first 3-4 albums and then it was downhill from there for me. She compleyely changed her sound so that she would be able to fit in with the new sound so that she would be able to get an even bigger fan base which obviously did nwork for her. She had such an amazing and powerful voice at the beginning of her career, then her new sound consisted of nothing but cooing as if she was on the brink of having an orgasim throughout every single song. It was with great pain in my heart that I remember giving away that Butterfly album away to someone… to anyone. It was awful. Not surprisingly, she basically went from being number one to being completely rejected. Completely nonexistant. Mariah who? Oh, yeah, hat ever happened to her? I’ll tell you what happened to her. Instead of doing the obvious to get her career started up again, giving her original fans what they wanted to hear, she thought getting bigger boobs may help her out instead. No wonder she went through such a deep depression. She completely let her original fans down. These were the fans that helped her make it to the top. Take Celine Dion, for example. You either love her or you hate her, and that’s fine. But she has always been loyal to her orignal fans and loyal to the music she loves making. And look at her today. Still has all her original fans buying anything that she puts out because they know she will provide what they expect from her. This is why her show in Vegas is sold out every single night… has been sold out night after night for a few years now. Again, you either love Celine Dion or you hate her, but she is loyal to her fans. Mariah Carey on the other hand, all she puts out is garbage as far as I’m concerned. Her career has shy rocketed again because basically you don’t have to have much talent to be famous in the record industry presently. Her We Belong Together song is ok, but still not great. Not as great as she once was. Mariah, you let all your original fans down. Hope all these teeny boppers you are focusing on will be more loyal to you than you were to your original fans.
