M.Lo called me Saturday afternoon and we made plans to go have drinks and dinner at Hula Hut. Man, it was hot out. It was 99 degrees out when I checked before I left my apartment to go pick her up. Everywhere I went I could see that wavy air lifting off the cement.

We hung out at the patio bar until our table was ready and did a lot of people watching. M.Lo and I are always competing to out do each other, in every way. Mostly just in the disgusting comments we make, and always ends with one of us calling the other one sick. Oh… good times!

Dinner at the Hula Hut was ok. I’m not a fan of that place… AT ALL, but I didn’t want to have to think of somewhere else to go, and I figured that after a couple of drinks, I wouldn’t notice the taste of the food anyways! The place servces supposedly Polynesian food, but it’s more like just weird Tex-Mex. They even put pineapple in their salsa. Eeeuwww

When we finally got our table, we were sat right at the entrance, so we got to watch everyone coming and going. We seriously sat there for about an hour judging and critiquing everyone walking by. M.Lo kept saying we were being evil and were going to go to hell, but that didn’t stop her from keeping it going.

After the Hula Hut, I went home, changed, and went to meet up with Sammy and Rose at Kelly’s birthday party. I had gotten a late start on that so I couldn’t stay long, but I did have a good time chatting with Sammy, Rose, and Iris. That Iris is a nut. While I was at the party, Rico Suave called and asked if I was going to Rainbow, so we decided to meet up and I left.

I had a good time at Rainbow, but I didn’t dance as much as I would have wanted. Thomas told me that DJ TJ was going to play Sin Wagon, so I was saving up my energy for it and letting a few songs go by. Well, TJ didn’t end up playing it until the end of the night, and by that time I was already worn out and it was not easy to keep up the energy to dance it like I would have wanted.

I had made TJ a cumbia CD and he played my FAVORITE cumbia,Quiero Contigo by Jimena, so I was totally in heaven. Honestly, that was probably the highlight of my week. Luckily Rico Suave was there to dance with me for all four cumbias. We hadn’t danced together in a while, so it took us some time to get back into each other’s rhythms, but once we did it was awesome.

I danced almost exclusively all the two-steps with Thomas, except three (two with Fernando and one with some other guy who’s name I forgot). I tried to dance with Juan, but the one time I asked him he went to dance with someone else instead, so I just didn’t ask again. RUDE. I left Rainbow early (1:30) and went home to bed.

Sunday I got up late and had lunch with Javi and then later I went back home to iron clothes for the week. I spent some time rating music in my iTunes so that I could have some fun stuff to enjoy today. I rated all my Whitney Houst, Enrique Iglesias, and Mariah Carey music… which is a lot! Oh and my other AirPort Express got delivered on Saturday so now I have wireless access to my stereo in the living room and the one in the bedroom.

Javi came over later and we watched Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy together. They were both really good, but the DH left so much open and it’s going to suck to have to wait all summer to see what happens. Also, I can’t believe I didn’t realize until JUST last night that Zach probably is Mike’s son. SCANDALOUS!

Hopefully this work week doesn’t suck, and thankfully I have a nice three day weekend coming!
