I always thought I was ok with churches, until one tried to move into my neighborhood.
Every morning, as I’m leaving for work, I pass by this construction of this new building on the corner of my street. I have yet to figure out what it is, but when it first started going up, I was certain it was a church, and I didn’t like that. I don’t want those Jesus freaks on my street!
It was just recently that I determined that it couldn’t be a church because there was no room for a parking lot. So, now I have no idea what it is. I wish it was a gas station… that would be really convenient.
Closer to my apartment, there’s some more construction. A “school” called Primrose Academy is going up. I’m ok with that. It’ll be nice to have so many kids close by if I ever decide to shove one of them in oven and cook them up Hansel and Gretel style. Mmmmm…. kiddos.
There’s also a strip mall going in next to my apartment, and a Target across the street. I’ve extremely excited about the Target, and it’s almost finished! I am going to be so broke after that place opens. I will no longer be able to control my shopping with Target being so close.
Last night I worked on trying to get the AirPort Express to work with my router again. Oh, it was so not good. I ended up messing up my router and couldn’t get it to work at all. After about three hours of messing with them both my sister called and asked me to go to Target with her. I needed the break, so I went to pick her up.
We both went a little crazy buying stupid little things that we didn’t need, but it was fun. I was tempted to give in and go to Best Buy to purchase the AirPort base station and just give up on my router, but I got all of the shopping out of my system at Target. We went to have dinner at the Texican afterwards.
When I got back home I was able to get the AirPort Express to connect to my modem and use it as a router, so I just took the router out of the equation. I’m going to leave it like that for a while… until I build up the patience to go back and try to get the router to work again.
I am all kinds of sleepy today because some fool called me on my work cell last night at 2am. I didn’t answer it, and luckily they didn’t leave a message. Not that it matters because it had already woke me up and it was hard to get back to sleep.
I need a vacation! I can’t wait for Memorial Day weekend, just to have that extra day off!
