I spent way too much time yesterday redesigning my website, and I’m still not happy with it. It’s got the basic layout that I want, it just needs tweaking. I need to not look at it for a day or so, then go back with a fresh mind.

After work, Javi and I went to Michelle’s to have dinner and watch the Amazing Race. Two hours of that show is really too much stress. If you don’t want to know how it ended, don’t continue reading. Anyways, I’m so happy that Joyce and Ucheana won. They were so far behind in the beginning and I didn’t think they had any chance of winning, then they sprung back like a miracle. Rob and Amber already have a million and they will have probably another million from the airing of their wedding.
At first I said I would happy if either team (but Ron and Kelly) won, but then Michelle told me how Ucheana and Joyce almost called off their marriage because they couldn’t have kids and that they had tried invetro. So then, of course, I wanted them to win so they could afford to do the invetro again or adopt.
Plus, they played the game the fairest and the nicest, so I couldn’t help but want them to win. But don’t get me wrong, I would have played the game just like Rob and Amber. I probably would have even been more sneaking and detestable. I’m extremely competitive and I’m sure I would have tried every trick possible to win.
I do wonder if maybe the producers had a hand in the outcome of the show. Like maybe at the end when Rob and Amber had gotten on the early flight and the plane was about to leave. The walkway had already been retracted and the security doors were closed. Ucheana and Joyce begged them to hold the plane and let them on, so the lady at the gate called the pilot and the pilot decided to wait and let Ucheana and Joyce on the flight as well. So the walkway to the plane was brought back out and they let them on. Does that even seem like something that would EVER happen?
If they hadn’t got on that flight, the race would have been over and there was about 20 minutes left in the show. There just wouldn’t have been any way for them to catch up to Rob and Amber.

Anyways… that was my night. Javi tried to get me to call in sick today, but that was so not going to happen. I like my paycheck way too much. I don’t have time off, so when I miss a day, I don’t get paid. That’s really too much money to skip out on, just to go shopping… especially when I don’t really need anything. If it had been planned, I might have done it. I just need advanced warning so that I can work extra hours to make up for time missed.
Oh well, I have a lot to do today, so I need to get started.
