Friday was a fun shopping day with my sister. We ran around trying to find accessories for my iPod and we had to get my mother a present for Mother’s Day. I found a very cute case at the Apple store at Barton Creek mall and I love it! It’s a leather case with a belt clip!

After the shopping, we stopped to get food at Sonic and went to her place to watch episodes Survivor and The Apprentice on Tivo. I don’t watch Survivor myself, but she’s a big fan. We also watched Meet the Fockers, which was pretty funny. I don’t know if I would say it was funnier than the first one.

Saturday I got up early, went to get my haircut, and then went to the Cinco de Mayo celebrations at Fiesta Gardens with Xoch and Shelly. It wasn’t nearly as much fun this year. I think I just wasn’t feeling it. We didn’t stay too long because we all wanted something to eat and didn’t want to eat the food there. We went to Angie’s and sat around talking and eating. Angie’s seriously has the best enchiladas in Austin! I really should eat there more often.

I had planned on going out Saturday night (actually I had planned on going out Friday as well), but I just didn’t feel up to it. I spent the night watching TV, Tea with Mussolini, and messing with the music on my computer. Tea with Mussolini was really good, but totally not what I expected. I thought Cher was going to be in it more and I had no idea it was going to be about WWII. I definitely recommend this film though.

I was trying to move all of the purchased music from my laptop hard drive to my external drive. I ended up messing up my iTunes library and therefore messed up my iPod library, causing it to skip some of my songs. I didn’t realize the skipping issue until last night. Anyways, so I spent hours fixing my library files and moving stuff around and re-rating some music.

Sunday I drove down to my parent’s to celebrate Mother’s day and my dad’s birthday (which is on this week). I arrive at 11 and my parent’s were gone. I had decided to give my little brother my 40 gig Creative Labs MP3 player, so I was helping him set that up for about an hour.

I cooked Mexican food, as usual, for lunch. I started preparing and cooking at 12, and didn’t finish until 1:30. It was a lot of work, but it was fun. I really enjoy chopping up the veggies because it’s that kind of monotonous work that is good for de-stressing. I made salsa, queso, chicken fajitas, beef fajitas, Spanish rice, and beans.

The salsa making was actually kind of funny. I had decided to grill (blacken) the jalapenos, red chili peppers, onions, and garlic to give it a different flavor. Well, I basically ended up pepper spraying the house. Everyone was choking and gagging on the smoke from the blackening of the chili peppers. We were all having a hard time breathing. An hour later, when Richard and Lulu showed up, there was still some of the “fumes” in the air because they started choking and coughing as well.

I left there around 5 and went to my place to watch Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy with Javi. The shows were good, well mainly the DH. It’s getting so scandalous! Javi picked up pizza for us, which was totally the sweetness.

I took a sleeping pill last night because I kind of felt like it was not going to be a good sleep night. I was already feeling restless. Well, that darn sleeping pill ended up causing me to oversleep to 6:37, and I’m supposed to be at work by 7. Not good! Amazingly, I was able to shower, brush my teeth, get dressed, and get here by 7:01.
