Friday night I watched movies with Javi. Unfortunately my stupid work phone kept ringing and ringing. I got paged 3 times. Man, that is one sure fire way to ruin a night. We watching Oceans 11 and Oceans 12. They were ok, but definitely not as good as I had expected. Like Javi said, they were pretentious. It seemed more like a bunch of friends playing, rather than making a quality movie.
We ate like 10 years olds. I made grilled cheese sandwiches and corn dogs, and we had Doritos and bbq chips. Man, I’m still craving more grilled cheese. I can’t get enough!
Saturday Javi and I went to Gruene to have lunch at the Grist Mill, and to just kill time wandering around. We stopped by my parent’s house and hung out. We got to see them get their alpaca and llama delivered. That was definitely interesting… especially since the alpaca arrive via a minivan. Who drives around in a minivan with an alpaca in the back? That is seriously country.
For dinner, I made enchiladas, and Javi was skeptical of my creative cooking techniques, but later said that it was tasty. Ha! I know what I’m doing in the kitchen! They did come out pretty delicious. I wish there had been enough to have leftovers.
My parents gave me one of their deer antler thingies. I decided it would make a great hat rack. So even though it was already a great relaxing day, it became so much better when I got the antlers! I love new things!
We went to bowl with Michelle and Liz afterward. I thought I was doing bad, but I actually bowled my average, so yay! We only bowled two games because Liz got all drunk and sick. Hello, that’s what happens when you mix liqour and prescription pills.
Later that night we watched Sideways and had another grilled cheese sandwich. The sandwich was awesome, the movie was far from it. That movie was so bad. I can’t even imagine how anyone would think it deserved ANY awards. Honestly, has anyone seen this movie and liked it?
Today has been all about cleaning. I’ve been working on cleaning up those deer antlers (4 point) and the apartment. I’m trying to bleach the antlers because I didn’t like the dull gray they have become from sitting outside in the sun so long. It’s not an easy thing to do, bleaching antlers. I don’t think I’m ever going to get them as white as I want, but they are looking much better.
Here are some pics I took Saturday, and one just now.
The Alapaca
This one is Brazos.
The Alpaca and the
Brazos and Beowolf, the gaurd dog that runs from people.
