Work went by fast yesterday, but only because I was so busy. It started off being a cranky day, but it ended up pretty good. I got cranky because people kept bothering me with questions while I was busy. Sometimes these people here just get too lazy and they want to ask me instead of trying to find the answers.
Anyways, I got over it and the day ended up ok. After work I started getting ready for Warren’s birthday dinner. I didn’t know what to wear so I had e-mailed Javi twice asking him for ideas. I didn’t know what kind of dinner if was going to be, or who was going to be there. Javi was being no help. I talked to him on the phone before I left the apartment. I asked him again what I should wear. His response was something like, “I don’t know, just wear a t-shirt and jeans.” So that was exactly what I did.
I get 5 minutes on the road and he calls me back saying that he wasn’t serious about the t-shirt business. Um… yeah… too late, I already left. Ugh. Didn’t I sound serious and stressed enough about the clothing situation? What made him think it was cool to joke about it?
So I get to his apartment and he’s all kind of non-approving of my outfit. He makes me wear this pink button-up shirt. I put it on, but I was not happy. I didn’t like the way it fit (too big) and I didn’t like the way I looked in it. Whatever, I wore it to make him happy.
We went shopping at Highcrime Mall. I spent the entire time at the mall worrying that my vehicle was going to be burglarized. I got some fun things for Citlali and something for Warren, then decided that I needed a new shirt to wear because I was not happy with what I had on. Express Men was temporarily closed, due to remodeling, so I went to GAP. I actually found a really cute guayabera looking shirt, so I was very happy.
The dinner was at Habana on 6th street. I had never been before, and I liked it. The atmosphere was cute and the food was good. The only thing I didn’t like was the size of the appetizers. We ordered Papa Rellenos (potatoes stuffed with beef) and it was seriously ONE smallish potato. The waiter brought it out and we all just sat there staring at it in disbelief. We also ordered the plantain chips, which were more like mini chips. Oh well, it was all good and fun.
I didn’t get home until almost 10:30, so I went right to bed. I’m not sure what I’m up to tonight. I have a ton of movies that I need to watch.
