This weekend has been busy busy busy. I’ve been going like crazy all weekend, but it’s been fun. Friday I left work late (6) and went home for a short bit. I wanted to do something and yet I didn’t. I didn’t know what I wanted to do, I was in an off mood. I went to Target because shopping always makes me feel better. I was shocked to see that season 2 of Wonder Woman was already on the shelves. When did this happen and why didn’t I buy it sooner?
So I bought that and I also bought Michael Buble’s first CD. His voice is like perfection.
I talked to Xoch as I was rambling around Target and we were going to have dinner together, but then she had an appointment and didn’t have time. Then M.Lo called and we made plans to have dinner. Yays! So I drove to pick her up and we went to dinner at El Chile, which has the yummiest enchiladas around. On the way there were jamming out to the cumbias and M.Lo told me that she used to date A.B. (aka A.B. Quintanilla of the Kumbia Kings), how exciting is that?
After dinner we went back to her place and I put some coolant fluid in her Mustang and changer her air filter. I was amazed that I knew where those things were and was able to do it without any effort or instructions. Yays for me! We hung out at her place for a bit, then I went home. Javi was burning up my phone line and he eventually came over. I was still in an off mood. We were both tired, so we didn’t do much.
Saturday I went dropped my SUV off to get the oil changed (and have them figure out why my SUV is squeaking) and then had lunch at Subway with Javi. When I picked up my SUV they said they didn’t know why it was squeaking and that my shocks and struts seemed fine. They suggested I take it to the dealer.
After lunch I went to hang out with Xoch. We were supposed to go to Target and do some shopping but the boys (Fernando and Joe) called and wanted to go to lunch. So I went to lunch AGAIN. Does anyone eat out as much as me? I doubt it.
We talked the boys into going to Target with us and we had a good time over there. Three homos and a lady shopping together; that was an experience… I’ll just leave it at that. Next stop was Gap at the Barton Creek Mall. I was on a schedule, so we couldn’t shop for too long. Long enough to look around at Gap then drop everyone off and head off to Dart Bowl to bowl a few games.
Met up at Dart Bowl with Michelle, Joe, Javi, and Roland. It was the first time I had met Roland. He’s the shyest person ever, but he’s adorable. Joe got all macho and announced “I will kick all of your asses at bowling.” Sadly (for him) that did not happen. He came in second place all three games. I was the undefeated #1 super winner!
I miss bowling at Dart Bowl. I just really like that alley better than all the other ones in town. It’s ghetto, but it’s home.
After bowling we (Javi, Michelle, Joe, and I) went to Sears so that I could transport a tool chest for Joe because it wouldn’t fit in his Mustang. We stopped by Midori and Joe bought us all dinner. Yippeee! Their Teriyaki chicken was bland and whatever Javi ate made him all kinds of sick.
We stopped by Michelle and Joe’s for a little and then decided we were too tired to hang out and we left. We were headed home to sleep and all nicely tucked up in bed when Gina called and invited us over for drinks. I don’t get to see her much, so we went to hang out with her. I had such a good time hanging out. She was well on her way to being drunk when we showed up.
At the end of the night we she just busted out laughing at Javi and wouldn’t say why. I called her today to find out and she had forgotten what it was. She said she knows it was something good and bitchy, but can’t remember. Damn the luck!
So today I went to pick up Brenna at the airport and we had lunch at Angie’s Restaurant on 7th. YUM. The airport was crazy though. I’ve never seen the drive up pick up lanes so busy. I was about to lose my mind with those people.
I don’t have much else going on today. I’ll watch TV tonight and try to do some ironing.
