I rushed home yesterday to watch Oprah because she was having the Desperate Housewives on. It wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. She brought one out at a time and then didn’t spend much time talking to them. That always seems unfair when she brings one guest out a time. Teri (Susan) was the first to come out, then Nicolette (Edie), Eva (Gabrielle), Marcia (Bree), and lastly Felicity (Lynette). So Teri got to sit out there while each additional guest came out, but Felicity was only out there for maybe 10 minutes… seems kind of unfair.

Anyways… Oprah spent more time talking to real people in the audience who said they lived lives just like the fictional characters in the show. REAL PEOPLE? I don’t want to hear from REAL PEOPLE! I just wanted to watch the stars… mainly Eva, cuz she’s my favorite. Although, I did find Marcia to be very endearing in a pathetic kind of way. She talked about how tiring it was to play Bree because of having to look perfect all the time, and how in real life she’s lonely and desperate for a boyfriend. She was shameless, but it was sweet.

Eva was completely starstruck by Oprah and could barely contain herself, which I also found super sweet. She’s awesome!

I had planned on going to the gym after work, but I had to make that detour to catch Oprah first. I was worried that once I settled in at home, I would never make it to the gym, but amazingly I did! I also discovered (thanx to the flier on my door) that the personal trainer gives group sessions at 6 during the week. So now I know I have to workout and get out of there before 6 each day!

So while I was watching Oprah, I was trying to load music onto my MP3 player. I was having the worst time. I need to mess with that again tonight, because I never really got it working right. Does anyone know of a way to transfer music to my player and have the music convert to a smaller bit rate (or whatever that’s called) so that I can put more onto my player?

I couldn’t get the MP3 thing to work, so I took my MP3 CD player Walkman instead. Ugh, it kept skipping! I think the batteries were dying. So I only used listened to music while I was on the bicycle. I got on the bicycle thing and intended to do 30 minutes, but after like 2 I thought I was going to die. I didn’t think I was going to make it.

I decided to do ten minutes, then do weights, then go back for ten, and keep doing that until 30 were completely. But then I made it past 10 minutes and figured I would do two sets of 15 instead. Well, 15 minutes came and I decided to push it and just finish out the 30 minutes. I was amazed that I was able to do it. I guess all that dancing has paid off. I could feel the burn in my upper thighs, and that’s exactly where I feel the burn when I dance. YEAH. Feel the burn!

Anyways… I’m glad I stayed on the bicycle because this lady came in shortly after I pushed past the 15 minute mark. She had a book and I recognized her from the other times int he gym. She’s ALWAYS on the bicycle, and the only have the one… so If I had given it up, I wouldn’t have got it back. After I finished on it I started doing the weights. I wore myself out, which is good I guess.

I still don’t get that great feeling from working out like everyone else does. Andy says it’s a huge stress relief and that he feels energized when he’s finished. I know lots of people that feel the same way, but I get none of that. Maybe I’m doing it wrong, or maybe I’m just not putting as much into it as others. I don’t go in there with the intention of letting off steam or working out frustrations.

Anyways… I needs to get to work! Bowling is tonight and I’m already tired… must find energy today!
