Today I took a half day, came home and napped for an hour and then went shopping with Cathy. Lulu was supposed to go with us, but she had other plans that ran late.
So Cathy and I were on our own. We went all over the place. We started off at the Pottery Barn, then off to Smith and Hawken where Cathy and I had purchased some Hyacinth bulbs but we didn’t find out until we got to the register that they hadn’t been pre-frozen, so we’d have to freeze them for 6 weeks before we could put them in a forcing vase. Wrongness.
We went to Old Navy next and I exchanged my track pants and bought a flanel shirt. Next stop, Crate and Barrel. I have still yet to buy anything from there, but I sure like to go look.
On the way downtown we stopped at Gardens and Cathy and I bought some more Hyacinths, this time they were pre-frozen. I have mine in the vases already now. I love flowers. People need to be buy me flowers more often.
Then we headed down to Emeralds. I bought a few things for a few people. Cathy was finding some stuff for her as well. I took all of our stuff to the register and asked them to hold it while we shopped. I made two seperate piles, one for Cathy and one for me. I specifically told the lady that they were to be kept seperate.
Apperently they had rang everything up while we shopped and had it on hold. We when got to the register they only had to swipe our cards. Unfortunately, she charged Cathy for both of our piles.
Then she had to void the transaction and start over. The second time the total ended up being even more. So she tried again and Cathy says to her, “make sure you don’t have the (item name removed because it’s a present) on my list, but on his instead.”
The receipt comes out and she had charged Cathy for it anyways. So we gave up at that point. I told Cathy that I would just pay her for the item instead of having them re-ring her items.
Next stop, dinner at El Sol Y La Luna. Good times. The staff was being all kinds of loud and unprofessional. “WHO HAS TABLE THREE!” “Do you want table 3? If you want it, you can have them.” “No you take table 3.” Ok, we were table 3 and heard everything.
We went to Blackmail next. I’m so excited that the owner opened up another store next door called Vivid. SO FREAKING CUTE. So I bought a shirt. It was super expensive, but it’s seriously the cutest, and it has adorable cuff links.
We went to Goody Two Shoes afterwards and then headed home. I have a bunch of stuff to wrap now, and I have some packages at the apartment office that I need to pick up tomorrow and wrap.
I’m watching the BillBoard Music Awards right now. I saw Gwen Stefani do her new song. I’m not into it at all.
I guess that is all I have to say now.
