Thanksgiving was ok. Nothing too special, but then it wasn’t horrible so that’s good. Not that it would normally be horrible. The ham was delicious! I don’t eat turkey, so I can’t tell you how that was.
So… I came home and started decorating for Christmas, which kind of stressed me out. I mean, I love the decorating, but I hate the clutter during the process.
I also hate when all the pine needles fall off the fake garland. COME ON! It’s fake! Can’t you make those needles stay on? It makes me want to vacuum every five minutes.
My laptop arrived at like around noon. I was super excited. Then all these other packages started arriving, which was awesome… and confusing.
FOR SERIOUS! My cell phone rang and this is the convo I had:
Him: Hi this is _________ from FedEx, I have a delivery for you.
ME: Um… Ok.
(Dead silence… and I’m totally confused. Why is he calling me to tell me about my package? He can’t deliver it to me over the phone!)
Me: So you have a package for me?
Him: Yes
(again… dead silence)
Me: Ok, so what do I need to do to get the package from you?
(I had to ask because he obviously wasn’t going to explain this process to me)
Him: I’m at the gate, you just need to buzz me in.
Seriously! Why didn’t he just say, “Hey this is Fedex, I have a package for you, can you buzz me in the gate?” to start with instead of confusing the hell out of me.
Anyways….
So I’ve been spending the rest of the day setting up my new laptop. It took me forever to get my old DSL modem to work with this thing!
I had to go to Starbucks and use the wireless connection there for a while to surf the SBC site to find out how to do it. It was fun to be all wireless in public! I love the wireless!
Brenna came over a little later and we went shopping. I bought a wireless router, some blank CDs, and some real CDs. Best Buy had some cheesey CDs on like $5.99 super sale. So I bought a Kenny Rogers Greatest Hits CD and a Country Super Hits CD. I love the cheap CDs!
Brenna and I went dinner at the Texican Cafe. My sister is always talking about it, so I decided to check it out. It was a lot nicer than I would have expected and there Queso was awesome… but not as good as their margaritas!
Sidenote: I have been drinking ALL day. Like I had breakfast with a wine cooler. SAD… but fun.
I got my wireless connection set up way faster than I did my wired connection. How weird is that? So I’m wireless at home now! Woot woot!
Ok, so I’m going to play with my computer for a bit, then finish decorating. Maybe I’ll go out… but I doubt it.
