After work I went to the grocery store to get some things and to run test prints of my Christmas card, which is FINALLY finished! I kept getting this eerie feeling that I was going to run into some one that I didn’t want to see, and I almost didn’t go for that specific reason.
As I was shopping I walked within feet of Hammid, an old boss of mine. Ooooh, he hated me! I used to bartend and wait tables at his restaurant and he was always banging his head on the bar yelling out my name by the end of the night. He also threatened to fire me on a regular basis.
The night I quit was pretty dramatic. He sent me home to shave and instead I went home, changed out of my shirt and then went back in and balled up the shirt and threw it at him from across the restaurant and yelled, “I quit!”
After I quit working in there I would go back in pretty frequently and one time I pissed him off so much that he threw me out and banned me forever… which only stopped me from going in for a short while.
Anyways… so I saw him and immediately hid behind an aisle and spied on him so that I could report information back to Gina, who would be the only person to find this information interesting… which is why I will stop telling this story.
Ok, so then I went back to the film counter to pick up my prints. I’m standing at the counter paying for them and I feel someone standing entirely too close behind me. He leans over and breathes on my neck and I turned around to give him the evil eye and it ended up being Justin C. EEEK EEEK EEEK!
I was seriously so confused, freaked, and shocked that I actually said HI and hugged him. What’s up with that? We talked for a short bit and I found out he lives in my area, but he said he might be moving to Chicago at the end of the month.
After all of that, I went shopping with my sister and helped her pick out a new purse. Went to Smith and Hawken again. I really do love that place. I was hoping to find new trays for my plant stand and they had some nice copper ones, but they were too big.
We were over by the theatre, so we ended up deciding to go to a movie. We went to see Bridgette Jones, the edge of reason.. I liked it a lot better than the first one. It’s been getting bad reviews because the critics are saying it’s basically just the first movie redone. Um? So! That is mostly true. It’s basically the same concept over again, but I think it’s funnier this time.
The first movie was a lot like the book, but this one was completely different. They left SO much out from the book and completely re-wrote the main antagonist in the movie. I won’t give too much away but I was so shocked at their re-write from the book that I actually shouted out “WHAT?!?!” at one point during the movie.
I guess that’s a good thing though, because even though you’ve read the book, you won’t know what’s going on in the movie, they’ve changed it that much.
During the movie my phone was going off like crazy! I missed four calls and had four messages. I checked my phone about thirty minutes into the movie, which is when I realised I had missed all those calls and I noticed I had missed a call from a certain friend that I’ve been wanting to hear from!
Then Ryan and I started text messaging. He was annoyed with me for not returning his calls (while I was in the movie) so he was sending me “UR DEAD TO ME” messages. Brenna was calling me to find out who I had run into at the store, because I had to call and tell her about Justin.
Oh, when I was talking to Justin he asked, “Do you still hang out with that girl that hates me?” I couldn’t help but crack up, and I knew exactly who he was talking about… XOCH! I called her afterwards and she was like, “Oooh, I hate him! I will always hate him! I don’t forget!” She was full of cusses.
Anyways… So after the movie I called “K” back and went over to his place to hang out and watch a movie. We watched Girls will be Girls, which reminded me a lot of Die Mommy Die, only maybe better.
I talked to Xoch the entire way home. Sammy backed out on going to the Dolly Parton concert with me. He’s going to California instead. Can’t hate on him for that. I hope he has a great time and brings me back a kickass shot glass. Ok, point of the story… Xoch is going to go to Dolly in his place. So no harm, no foul!
I went to bed around midnight. Ok, enough for now. Tonight is bowling!
