I didn’t go grocery shopping yesterday. It just seemed like way too much effort to make a list, get dressed (as I have been in nothing but boxers all day), and drive somewhere. So What did I do instead? I made a pizza, sat on the couch and watched Party Monster and some TV. Check over at the Entertainment page for my reviews… as lame as they are.
Well now, Halloween is pretty much gone now, which means one more holiday to go and then it’s CHRISTMAS! I’m extremely anxious to start decorating for it.
Ok, in other news, I think we are going to postpone bowling this week. Ryan is refusing to bowl because the election is on. WHATEVER. Michelle may be out of town, so that just leaves Andrea and I. Whatever.
Tonight I did finally go grocery shopping. I was very proud of myself. I made a good list and I stuck to it. I bought two weeks of groceries for less that $60. I’m getting pretty good at this grocery shopping thing. Now I just need to learn to be more creative in my choices. I really just continually but the same things over and over.
I am happy to be buying the food again. There was a time (not very long ago) when the contents of my fridge consisted of nothing but pitchers of water and condiments. My freezer was full of alcohol and my pantry consisted of nothing but sandwich bags, aluminum foil, and trash bags. I don’t know what I thought I was going to put in those sandwich bags, or wrap with that foil, but I had them should I have needed them.
Now I’ve got a stocked refridgerator (no alcohol) and pantry. I can whip up a meal in a moments notice! I could start my own home webcam show… well, that is if anyone out there does not yet know how to make macaroni and cheese, or maybe some of you need to see how to work a microwave? I could call it Cooking for college students, or Cooking for lazy single people.
That’s one of the many things that sucks about being single. I can’t make a lot of the fun meals I like because it’s too much food and leftovers just don’t appeal to me very much. I need a boyfriend so that I will have someone to cook for on a regular basis. This would make for much better menus at Chez Tom.
Anyways… after I made dinner I surfed the net, talked on the phone, and watched some TV. I’m about to read a book and go to bed now. Yay for another fun night at home!
I hope Andrea remembers to bring her candy to work tomorrow.
Oh also, today was a drama free day at work. THANK THE LORD! Please let this week continue in the wonderous drama free ways.
