Work was awful yesterday. I worked 10.75 hours and the majority of it was spent on that horrible project. Around 5:30 my boss left and asked why I was still here and I replied, “I’m working on this project that you are torturing me with.” He just laughed, because apparently he thinks I’m being funny. No.
After work Andrea (aka Lurleen) and I went back to my place to finish watching The Sweetest Thing since we had to turn it off before it finished this weekend so that we could watch Desperate Housewives.
I’m so glad that some good NON-reality TV shows are coming on lately. I’m tired of real people, real people suck.
After that we went to dinner at Pok-e-Jo’s to meet up with Michelle. They have the best macaroni and cheese, and their sausage is good enough. But they also have Red Flash and I love some red soda. It’s what I normally drink at the bowling alley, so I got a large to go cup and took it with me. Woot woot!
Bowling was not as good as normal, even though I was on my favorite lane (lane 32). It’s the last lane in the alley and there’s a little ramp heading from the table to the lane. It’s like getting a running head start. It’s fun!
The first game was horrible. I only bowled a 95. That’s freaking pathetic. My average is 123! Andrea bowled a 109, 21 points above her average. Ryan bowled a 99, 2 points BELOW his average. Michelle bowled well below her average of 89 by getting 65 points. Overall we bowled 33 points below our team average and lost the game by about 20 points.
The second game I was determined to bolw better and I did. I rose up to a 145! I finally realized that the problem was all in my approach. I had to back to my slow approach and everything was fine! Woot woot! Yay for getting my mojo back! The only problem was that Michelle (67), Ryan (68), and Andrea (84) all bowled BELOW their averages. We bowled a combined 37 points below our average and we lost the game by 89 points.
The third game was SO much better. Michelle and Andrea bowled their highest scores ever. Michelle got a 122 (33 points above her average) and Andrea got a 128 (40 points above her average). Ryan bowled 21 points below his average and got an 80. I bowled the same score again, a 145 (22 points above my average). So we ended up winning the game, but I don’t remember by how much.
So we get 2 points for the night. Hopefully we’ll still be in the top 3, and I hope that I can bowl above my average from now on. Oh and hopefully Ryan will be in a good mood, since he’s been all pissy and moody the past few Tuesdays. Next week were are playing Steve’s team. That should be interesting.
I took Andrea home after bowling and it was horrible. Traffic on IH-35 was so backed up. It took me almost an hour to get her home, so I didn’t get home until midnight. I hate not getting enough sleep. I wish we could bowl earlier!
