I actually have enjoyed a very nice weekend. I’m sad to see it end. It was also a very low-key weekend.

Friday night I stayed in and watched TV. I ended up watching some of the debate, even though I had previously told Andrea that I would not. It was kind of funny. That Bush is real stupid. What’s this “internets” he talks about. I thought we just had the one internet?

Saturday I got up early and went to my parent’s house to help my mother shop for decorations for my older brother’s wedding reception and because it was my little brother’s birthday. He is now 15, which makes me VERY old.

We went all over northern San Antonio driving around buying decorations. I got the bright idea that we should make our own Papel Picado, and didn’t quite remember that it’s not as easy as it would seem. Oh well, I’ll finish it later.

Then we went shopping for my little brother, who was with us. He wanted to buy a dangling cross earring for his freshly pierced ear. I tried to explain to him that it wasn’t going to be easy, considering we didn’t have a time machine to go back to 1985 when those were actually in style, but he was determined.

We went all over the mall searching and couldn’t find one anywhere, so he’s going to have to order it off the net. Or maybe, hopefully, he’ll just decide not to buy it.

On my way home from their house Ryan called crying about some kind of hair emergency so I went by his place to help him fix his hair. He had messed it up while trying to give himself a home haircut. Yeah, who actually thinks that cutting their own hair is a good idea?

He ended up coming with me to my apartment to watch me decorate for fall. I know that must have been thrilling for him. :) Then I made him dinner, cuz I’m nice like that. I wish I had someone to cook for more often. I love to cook!

We watched The Sweetest Thing while we ate dinner. I had originally planned to go out afterwards, but just didn’t feel up to it. So I ended up hanging around the apartment with Ryan for a while.

We were playing with my black light (that I use for Halloween decor, not that I just have one laying around all the time) and I was shocked at how dirty my apartment looks under black light. Seriously, if you ever want to see how much dust and filth is on your walls, shelves, and carpet, turn on a black light. Don’t even get me started on the bathroom, it was disgusting… but yet it all looks clean with the regular lights on.

Ryan had rode with me to my apartment, so I had to take him home and I decided to be nice and go grocery shopping with him… cuz really, what else did I have to do? It was actually kind of fun, and we got to talk about some interesting things. ;)

I dropped him off at home, and was home in bed by like 1am.

Sunday I got up early again and started cleaning. It’s amazing how many phone calls can be missed once the vacuum gets turned on. It’s kind of like how the phone rings as soon as I lay down for a nap. WEIRD.

I cleaned for a few hours, but I’m still not brave enough to look at the place under the black light again. I will NEVER do that again.

After cleaning, I went to pick up Andrea and I took her running around furniture shopping. When it’s not your furniture you plan on purchasing, it really makes for a very boring experience. So, that is all I have to say about the furniture shopping.

We went to the grocery store to get things to make dinner, then back to my place where she started making chicken with noodles and dumplings. You see, Andrea decided last Tuesday to invite our bowling team over to MY place for dinner. Little did I know, that she was actually serious.

Michelle ended up not being able to make it because she wasn’t feeling well, but Ryan did show up. I tired to stay out of the kitchen while she cooked, but I kept going in there and traumatizing myself.

I should never watch people cook in my kitchen because seeing people make a mess in my kitchen freaks me out. Am I the ONLY person that cleans as I cook? Not only that, but she was boiling an entire chicken. GROSS. You know I don’t like eating animals as it is, I don’t need to see the whole thing in pieces in a pot on MY stove. It was seriously, disgusting… which reminds me… ANDREA! You left dead chicken parts uncovered in my refrigerator on a cutting board! THAT IS SO NOT COOL.

So we had dinner and we watched (AGAIN) The Sweetest Thing. Andrea’s food was tasty and Ryan had made a SUPER DELICIOUS sugar cookie cake thing that I could seriously eat all of right now.

After the movie Ryan took Andrea home and I cleaned up… which was no easy task. That was quit possible the filthiest my kitchen has EVER been. It was gross. Seriously, GROSS and FILTHY. It is, however, all better now.

So I had a nice quiet slow weekend and I got plenty of rest. Which was exactly what I needed so that I can go back to work and be cool and calm and not flip out over this horrible project that I am working on that is taking over my life and killing me slowly.

Ok, now I must get ready for bed and do stuffs like that.

Something to say?
