I stayed late at work yesterday (off the clock) working on a personal project with Andrea. We were working on the awesome graphic for our team bowling shirts. Andrea used her artistic skills to draw the cartoons of us, and then I added the text. Yeah, I know, my part was minimal and could have been done my a chimp, but still.

The main team graphic will go on the back and each persons individual graphic will go on the front, like where a pocket would be. Too cute!

So we uploaded the files to my site, then went to my place to download them and burn them to CD. Then we went to Old Navy to find some cute t-shirts to print them on. We found some cute baseball type shirts for $6 each. Woot woot!

We stopped at Michael’s to see if we could find some iron on sheets for laser printers so that we could do it ourselves instead of paying Kinkos a million dollars to do it. Seriously, Kinkos needs to get a grip on their prices.

We found the sheets and decided to see if we could at least print them on our own paper somewhere, which is still cheaper than paying Kinkos to do it. We went to Office Max but they only had copy services, so we went to the Kinkos up north and they said they couldn’t do it because their machines ran to hot.

What? That’s lame. Go find a machine that isn’t running right now (like any of the 100 hundred of them that weren’t) and run a sheet through each, dork. I did feel sorry for the misfortunate people at Kinkos for having to deal with us. We both had a major case of the giggles and could not stop laughing.

The Kinkos up north sent us to the Kinkos on campus. So off we went! The homo at the counter (with literally 60 black jelly bracelets on one arm) said he could print on transfers for us, but they only use their own paper. Since when does Kinkos not let you use your own paper?

The cost to do it there would be $9 to print and press on the shirt, each side. Um.. Hell No. The shirt was $6, I’m not about to pay $18 to get the images printed on it. Plus it would take two days to do it, and we can’t be around to watch to make sure they do it correctly. No thanx.

So we called my sister and decided to print them on her man’s laser printer and iron them on ourselves at her house either Sunday or Monday night. I’m a little worried about what Ryan is going to say about them. He hasn’t seen the design yet. I asked him to look at it and approve it before we proceeded and he said, “I trust your judgment.” Oh great… thanx.

So we went to go have dinner at Pluckers on campus, then I took Andrea home and I went home and pretty much went to bed. I was tired and I really needed the rest, since I still wasn’t feeling to great.

I know Andrea was happy to be done with that graphic because I was on her all day to get it finished. I wouldn’t let her do any real work until it was done. I’m quite the slave driver.

Today, or this morning, I’m off to Dart Bowl to cheer on my buddy Steve in the Texas Invitational Gay Handicap Tournament (T.I.G.H.T.).

Something to say?
