I really can’t remember much about the rest of my long weekend. Everything is starting to blur together and I can’t keep my days straight.
Sunday night I went to dinner at Baby A’s in Pflugerville with Brenna, Andrea, Michelle, Joe, Richard and Lulu. I had some drinks and it was a lot of fun.
After dinner we all went downtown to the RCC for Salsa lessons and Latino night. Lulu and I tried to get Richard to take the salsa lessons but his response was, “I already danced at the wedding, I never have to dance again.” and “Why do I need to know how to dance when I have a brother that does?”
Anyways… Lulu and I take the dance lessons and I had no idea they were going to make us switch partners every so often. Richard freaked out because Lulu had to dance with some Lesbians and Homos and thought she was going to flip out. Everyone else thought that she clearly seemed to be having a good time.
Everyone had gone with to RCC (Joe, Michelle, Brenna, Andrea, Richard, Lulu) but they all left before International night started, so I hung out with my usual RCC crowd. Brenna and Andrea made a reappearance later and then disappeared again.
I wasn’t upset about it. Well, I was upset that Richard took Lulu with him. I was hoping to get to dance with her and they left before International night began. Oh well.
I had a great time dancing with Juan and then later Fernando showed up and I danced with him a lot. I was having fun but I was also pretty exhausted from a weekend of going out way too much. I wasn’t able to fully enjoy myself.
I saw J there. He’s the hot short Latino boy that used to work there that I have had a big crush on for like an eternity. The earliest entry I could find in my journal about him was from January of 2003, and it’s obvious from that post that I’ve liked him since before then.
Anyways… I saw him dancing with Javier (the guy that hates me because I dated his ex when they broke up). So later on I went to find him and he was at the bar. I was going to make my move, then Rene comes up behind him and starts talking to him, and behind Rene is Mad Cow (my ex-roommate), so I wasn’t about to try to talk to him and have them ruin it. FOILED AGAIN!
I went to dance for a bit and then went looking for him again. I couldn’t find him anywhere so I went over by the men’s room and hung out at the back bar. I figured he would eventually pass by me and I would talk to him. Then a few minutes later he comes walking right up to me and we start talking.
So we exchanged numbers and had a nice long conversation. What really sold me on him was that he buttoned my shirt up. After a night of having it unbuttoned by various boys, he reaches over and says, “You’re shirt came unbuttoned.” and buttons it right back up for me. That was major bonus points for him.
We’re standing there having the awkward but fun first conversation and then this random boy that’s standing two feet away from me grabs my hand and pulls me over to him to say “Excuse me, but I just have to tell you that you’re the sexiest man in this bar.” And then goes on about how he’s from out of town and Austin is so nice and blah blah blah and I’m thinking, “Um.. HELLO! I’m trying to talk this boy over here and you are totally ruining it up for me!” But I was actually really nice to him and very polite and then went back to talking to J.
Anyways… we walked out of the club together and I gave him a hug goodbye and told him that I would call him. I will call him tonight. I will also call C tonight.
So on to Monday. I woke up kind of early Monday (11) and went to have lunch with M.Lo. We had a hard time finding any nice places that were open, so we ended up eating at Little Mexico on South First. I actually liked their enchiladas a lot.
Afterwards we went by Aaron’s house to drop off the homework he left in my car earlier in the weekend. We hung out for a bit with him and his man and the gave us a tour of their beautiful home. They’ve really down great stuff with the place.
We went off to the mall after that but our trip got cut short because we had to go meet her sister to pick up her daughter and her sister’s kids. I dropped them off and then went home to do laundry. I chatted on the phone with Xoch for about two hours then we decided to meet up and with Nancy and go to dinner.
We went to Berry Hill Cafe over on 360 by the bridge. Their salsa is awesome and their nachos were really good as well. Nancy would probably recommend against the chimichanga though. She said the sauce was gross. We went to Nancy’s afterwards and chatted until 10, then I went home, talked to Brenna on the phone and Andrea on-line, then Steve, then went to bed.
Today I am TIRED! On another note. I’m a currently obsessed with a CD I made on Friday. It’s all music by the Kumbia Kings. Their songs have been stuck in my mind all weekend.
