Last night was fun… unusual, but fun.
I went to pick up my prints from the store after work. They all came out really well. I was very impressed with how great they printed out.
I went to the mall after that to return the shorts I bought. I just don’t think I’m built for board shorts. I’m too tall for that.
They wouldn’t let me return them, so I had to exchange them. Whatever. I found this really cute western shirt, so I bought that instead. I’m super anxious to wear it now.
I went home and put all my new prints in frames, so now I have no empty frames in my apartment! How awesome is that? Let me tell you, it’s pretty darn awesome.
I just need to replace a large frame in the dinning room, and find a big piece to put in my bedroom, and then I’m done. Of course, that will take an eternity because I am really not that concerned with it.
So I played on the computer for a bit, then became a little bored and frustrated. I started chatting with NewGirl and Ryanostopher. I convinced NewGirl to go have a drink with me, and believe me, it wasn’t difficult. I think she’s an alcoholic. I’M JUST KIDDING! (inside joke)
I went to pick her up and got a little lost because I confused Woodward with Woodrow street, or whatever. We ended up going to Malaga to have some Sangria. (I should go buy some right now at the store).
We got completely ignored at the bar by the jerk bartender. He walked by us like ten times, looked DIRECTLY at us, but kept ignoring us. I think NewGirl is bad luck for waitstaff, it seems to be a trend that waitstaff ignores me when she’s around. Maybe they think she’s a Lesbian, and they know Lesbians don’t tip?
Anyways, we were just about to leave when he finally decided to take our order. I really wanted to leave, but I really wanted that Sangria more… then I was a little disappointed with it. How did NewGirl get two cherries in hers, and I got none. RUDE.
There was this sloppy drunk next to us that was making such an ass out of himself. What kind of loser is that drunk so early in the night? His friend was so annoyed with him, that we walked off and ditched him. That’s so wrong. A little while later he was “removed” from the bar.
We left after our drink and went to RCC. I wasn’t really planning on going there, even though I was dressed country, but I didn’t really know where else to go. Lucky for us, it’s dollar drink night on Friday. How did I forget about that?
So we hung out there for a bit. I danced a little, but not nearly as much I normally would. I didn’t want to leave Newgirl alone. She might have been savaged by the Lesbians.
Oh, and she was quick to point out that she was NOT my hag. Please, as if I was taking applications.
I tried to convince her to line dance, but she wasn’t having any of that. I think she may be rhythm challenged. Earlier in the day I saw her trip over her own feet walking from the fax machine to her desk. Interesting.
I think I’m going to start going out on Fridays instead of Saturday. Drinks are cheaper, there’s more room on the dance floor, and everyone I like is there.
We went to eat at Kerbey Lane (the one actually on Kerbey Lane) afterwards. There was a really cute policeman having breakfast there. I should have acted like I was coked up so he would have frisked me.
I dropped her off a little after 2am and then went home. I got a little lost leaving her place too. Only because she lives off the north bound access road and I wanted to go south, so I had to leave out some weird back way.
I’m surprised I didn’t get pulled over because I was doing crazy u-turns all over the place.
Today I woke up at 1ish, and called Sammy… who forgot about me today and went to the TCA picnic without me. Which is TOTALLY cool Sammy! I was asleep when he left anyway.
So I got some lunch and I’ve been working a little on redecorating my apartment. I haven’t done much, probably nothing anyone would even notice… but I notice and that’s all that matters.
I wish I was inspired to do more, but I’m just too lazy right now.
On another note… the font in my Internet Explorer is suddenly way too big and I don’t know how to fix it. I’m sure I could dig around and find it, but I have yet to find the enthusiasm for taking that on.
